I highly doubt it.
But, after FINALLY beating Sirius today, there is now a set-up for future Star Force games. So that's a possibility. But, we won't know anything for sure until new info is released.
Or maybe it's just a way for them to create a term for the entire franchise and everything that happens therein.

My guess... ...I am hoping it is an 8-bit exploring game. Down the lines of Wily Tower, but with all Robot Masters from 1-10, along with the characters from the gameboy games, Rockman and Forte. Heck, from R&F, Capcom could replace Tengu and Astro with Fake Man and Dark Man. Find and defeat all Robot Masters to complete the game. I STILL WANT AN 8-BIT DUO.  |

And therein lies the fanservice. MOAR EXE! That was the whole reason they made it. I still want it though... And that would be cool, Yllisos... I hope it's not. leave 8-bit to the original series. I hope this is more than an 8-bit game.

If we're talking about a single new serie that sounds consistent, if it's a mix of all the series then that just sounds like way too much work to deal with.
It does have a not so interesting title right now.

And this, in the end, is the main thing. Well, besides the notion that Megaman, acknowledged as one of Capcom's biggest and most well-loved brands, has yet to make a REAL splash this console generation. Love the 8-bit Retro, but that's not what I would consider Rock's "next gen debut" either.  I'd like to think that Capcom and Inafune don't have any intention of making us wait too much longer for what could be considered that much. I only hope it's a new action-oriented series for any/all of the big three. |
