Who gives a damn about the babies? I'm talking about the other Pokémon. The legendaries, the starters, the new evolutions ([tornado fang]ing Scizor), goddamn Tyrannitar etc.

Second Generation was the only one that really felt like an overall improvement of Pokémon to me, while all the other generations since felt more like a cashcow. Yeah, they got some new features, but I think that the Pokémon themselves looked more and more uninspired, if not downright stupid (especially since certain types continue to repeat themselves, the Pokémon in the first regions of the games especially).
