Well, given that Levitate would be its only edge over Dialga, we'd basically be looking at a repeat of the Flygon/Garchomp situation we have now.
It's Pokemon. It's bound to happen sooner or later. XD

As for the reveal...
I'm waiting for CoroCoro before giving my verdict. XD

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

Dragonite has and always will be great. I can't have a finished team without one. <3

On a side note (and more related to the current topic) what's wrong with Fire/Water/Grass starters?

I don't get the problem either.  Honestly it's a great balance of types that is in an elemental triangle that diffuses each other out so that no pokemon is overly powerful.  The key is to raise said pokemon right to be your ace of spades so to speak like with me and Torchic and Totodile.  If you're pokemon is over powered from the get go then there's really no point of raising them quikely since you don't have to worry until a higher leveled pokemon shows up.

Though the only problem I see with this is with every single generation of starters there is always one or 2 pokemon that is initialy when it comes to base stats in their final evolution compared to the others it seems.  Then there are others who don't have enough attack variety to match their main stat, I'm looking at you Typhlosion.  Even though he can be deadly with a Sunny Day and Flamethrower/Solarbeam combo can be absolutly deadly the only other type of special attack move it can learn would be another fire type or Focus Blast which would lower it's Special Defense and make him even more vunerable to water type attacks than he already is.  Lucklily the new egg move for him is Extrasenory but how often are you going to have a Female Typhlosion any way?  That means you're stuck with a pokemon with pretty low type variety or one with 2 support moves.

The point is I like the basics that have been laid out since the beginning but I wish the game developers would be smarter when considering stats and move sets.

Panda tails aren't that long and besides in a way Spinda is already a Panda.  Now that I look at it again it looks like an otter too.

Tangent:

Now you see, I've never been particularly competitive with Pokemon and as a result, this might be a horribly out of date concept I have in my head, but I didn't think Typhlosion was bad with its potential movepool.

I remember cleaning house with a Ty that rocked Rollout, Flamethrower, Earthquake, and Dynamicpunch (easily the weakest link, only for its God awful accuracy). I always wanted to try and be more creative with my 'mons movesets, but I didn't really have the avenue to until this gen.

Yeah I kinda missed how simple pokemon used to be but atleast this gives you more to do other than just going throught the game.

If you're having to use Rollout, you know something's wrong.

I'm really not seeing the appeal of a 30 power attack which gives the other guy the most obvious switch in chance ever.

Yeah that's true but when AI don't ever switch it's pretty helpful especially when you use defense curl first.

Interesting, you have to wonder about the evolution for the red panda of fire though, what will he become? Giant fire panda of doom?

and Water pig eh, should have noticed the tail.

Even so, it is still too early to confirm this.
It might look official, but it might still turn out fake in the end.
