I suppose the only sad thing is that this game couldn't have come like say, 2-3 years ago. People would have been willing to pay top dollar for quality RPGs on their Wii during that time frame, but now, it's largely a thing that this game comes at a time when even most Japanese gamers have opted to get a PS3 to give them "more".

I'll be hoping for the best, but I'm hoping it's not a case of "too little, too late".

Who should I play as? I think I saw someone dual wielding in that video if I'm not mistaken, well I don't mind who I play as, as long as I get to hack up my enemies with a sword!

From the looks of it, the main story will mostly have Elza as the main playable character.

Online however. For both competitive and Cooperative, you can pretty much choose anyone, the equipment is based on the user's file naturally and for communication you can choose (as far as Mistwalker proclaims) 'any' line from that chosen character. I just wonder to what extent the lines are available for the player's choosing.

It does seem like characters outside of the main party are usable too, maybe they join in on some missions in the main game perhaps?
