I'm game.  I'll see you online.

They needed a new formula a long time ago.  I honestly think Legends 3 would have accomplished that.  They kept on remaking the same thing, with lower budgets, and now they're acting all confused because they stopped making a profit.

Oh, I don't know.  I started and ended on a good note, but you gave me a good ass-kicking in the middle.

I was swearing at my controller a lot during that time.  I don't know if the input-lag-adjustment part of my brain was on the fritz or what, but I just saw a lot of screwups that shouldn't have been happening.  Not the least of which was that once I started shooting the Super Scope, I COULDN'T STOP.

I gotta remember to punch in the "replays longer than 3 minutes" Ocarina code next time.  'cuz I *REALLY* wanted to save that Green Hill Zone match, but 3 minutes + Sudden Death = too long.

They needed a new formula a long time ago.  I honestly think Legends 3 would have accomplished that.  They kept on remaking the same thing, with lower budgets, and now they're acting all confused because they stopped making a profit.

I don't think he's gimped at all.  Certainly in no way that's noticeable compared to the crapass fireball range for Mario and Luigi.

In fact, between both transitions the only change in Yoshi that I wasn't happy with was the lag to his multi-kick that was added in Melee.  It was SO much fun to abuse that by jumping up from below in SSB64.

I remember that!

...I also remember being stuck on Retro Mushroom Kingdom with Donkey Kong's Down+B. Uuuuugh.

Smash 64's mechanics were legendary when it came to sheer wtf potential. For example, the Luigi Tornado made him God Tier in that game (not like there was any other tier for most characters). I used to love starting one up as soon as someone floated back to the edge then mashing B like mad so they'd get caught with the last hit. Fun times... XD

I meant that his Down+B attack seems weaker compared to the Melee and his Midair Down+A is not as strong. Only plus is that his Up+B is now a third jump, however small it is.

Actually, it's as many jumps (minor hops) as you want, although I can't seem to stop losing forward momentum after a couple of throws.  Still, it's quite handy that the only way Yoshi is helpless in midair now is if you blow it with Egg Roll.

As for attack strength, I don't know, I don't gauge knockback distance between games.  It's kinda hard to when 99% of the time you're playing Super Sudden Death with all Bob-ombs.  Yoshi's ground pound still seems strong enough to me, not AS strong as some of his A attacks, but I can live with that.

They needed a new formula a long time ago.  I honestly think Legends 3 would have accomplished that.  They kept on remaking the same thing, with lower budgets, and now they're acting all confused because they stopped making a profit.

Feh, Smash 64 Bob-ombs > Melee Bob-ombs regardless of endless sudden death matches. In Smash 64 they had a good set of physics to them and the explosion SFX was awesome. XD

I remember lining 'em up in Training, then setting 'em all off at once.
And that's back when I had my kickin' stereo hooked up, big 3-foot speakers.
So it sounded something like

KA-BOOM

I hated the training mode 4 item limit though so I'd always set items on high, bob-ombs only, damage ratio to 2 and Hyrule Castle for the level. The madness that would go on in just the little arch on the right side of the level was legendary. Imagine 10+ bob-ombs going off in quick succession. XD

Apologies, but I just woke up about 15 minutes ago.  I'm in no frame of mind to Brawl at the moment.  Perhaps later on though.
