Eh.  I guess I'm always looking for the ideal relationship; a relationship that requires no effort on either party's part -- one that just comes naturally and feels like it's always been.  I guess I'm spoiled due to the fact I have not one, but two friendships where there is absolutely no pressure, no tension, no negativity.  Just pure, unbridled happiness.  <3

Though to be fair, one of these friendships is probably this way due to the fact they never come on where I can chat with them.  T_T

Well that's what friendships are, normally. There shouldn't be any pressure or tension or negativity. This is why making that a relationship with said friends can be dangerous, because relationships can lead to those three things. This is why the phrase "I only see you as a friend" is not always a lie. A lot of times people don't want to take the risk of ruining that pure, unbridled happiness.

Of course by saying this, they usually lose said friend anyway. That phrase means a lot more to some people than it does others.

Tends to be that people (myself included) misinterpret that as "I don't like you."

....I'll admit, that is one of the main reasons I didn't want to date my best friend, even though he still has a crush on me.

I can understand that, to me, if I had a good friend that was female I wouldn't want to push for a relationship.

Of course, I don't know many females, and the ones that I knew in person weren't really friends.

[tornado fang]ing february, I hate it, Valentine card day is the worst holiday, it makes me feel like [parasitic bomb] every year.

Yeah Valentines and SAD really doesn't make sense to me.  You don't need a single day to do something special for your significant other, that can be anytime.

To me the problem is how contrived and bullshit it all is. All it does is make the people like me, who don't appear to have a chance feel bad.

[parasitic bomb] like Vday is what makes me want to continually delude myself that I have a "waifu" who loves me, and even that isn't doing anything anymore.

I've just made plans to have a single plotted movement map between my bedroom, the kitchen, the bathroom, and my computer for that day and to not stray from those provided boundaries.

It's sad if you're single.

Life is sad when you're single.

Mainly because society looks down on you if you are single.

In the US at least.

The thing is, I could change this for myself, and actively try to look for somebody.

I just fear rejection too much to want to risk it.

I've been rejected once. As you'd expect, it hurts. But after a while, I forgot I was rejected in the first. If you don't open up, you'll never know how the other person feels about you.

And I don't like being single, not because of society, but simply because I don't want to be. [tornado fang] society. However, I've learned that having good friends can fill much of that void of loneliness. They don't have to be perfect, just decent friends you'd want to hang out with.

Life is sad when you're single.

Mainly because society looks down on you if you are single.
I'm [tornado fang]ing tired of the various status symbols of society, such as being single and (for me, the worst of all) virginity. I blew up at someone because I thought they were trying to put me down for being a virgin. I actually do find it difficult to consider sex a casual act, and IMPOSSIBLE to regard a dating relationship in high school as all about sex. Society's stigma of virginity pisses me off to no extent, and it's getting worse. It's bad to be in high school and a virgin. It's bad to be an eighth grader and a virgin. It's bad to be a seventh grader and a virgin.

Sex is supposed to be a symbol of intense love, devotion, and sincerity that immature schoolchildren are not (as much as they may think they are) capable of. Virginity is not some curse that you have to get rid of as soon as possible.

...I...I'm sorry, I didn't mean to start bitching again. I'm just going to leave this topic alone, and say...

The thing is, I could change this for myself, and actively try to look for somebody.

I just fear rejection too much to want to risk it.

...I fear my social awkwardness more than rejection, especially now that I have learned to get over my past failure. Once it's off my chest, I'm ready for whatever; getting it ON my chest and presenting it in the right time and place? Don't ask...

To guarantee you don't ask...I confessed to my first (real) crush over Facebook after she left my school. Yep.

what

I think the whole virginity thing is stupid.

I remember in 5th and 6th grade the bus I went on to go home came later than the other buses for some reason, and when we would sit outside waiting for it people would ask this constantly.

"Troy, are you a virgin?"

I never knew what they meant back then, and thought they meant an astrological symbol or something, and always said "No".

Snickering followed.

Anyway, I had a second crush, kind of a ditz in some ways but she was extremely nice and cool.
About a week after I met her she moved.
I had another crush in my Junior year with a Japanese Foreign Exchange Student.
That one I had no intentions of trying to push for a relationship because I knew I would never see her again after she went home.
She even went to the Prom, which was the only reason I went.
After she left (2 hours before the thing ended) I didn't feel like sticking around and left too.
