No one REALLY knows, sadly!

It was supposed to be some vigilante justice story, and his one character was just some emo kid who was cursed with awesome.  Then he changed it to some flustercuck of everything he loved as a kid.  It was a mess.  A complete mess.  I seriously have no idea what the hell he was trying to write and I still don't know.

Did it involve Power Rangers?

Oh yes.  Yes it did.  I remember at one point, the main character was using a garbage dump made giant Gundam sized robot to fight regular street crime, you know, muggings, robberies, that kind of stuff.  Keep in mind, this is after years...and I mean YEARS of revising his story.

There's always a part of me that's curious on how he can possibly make his story any worse.

...Wow, that sounds like a story that I'd write if I was 10.

Since I'm kind of curious, how old is this guy?

...Damn.

Now I feel the need to help this poor sap with his writing skills. Not because of the whole sucks-at-writing thing, but the fact that I can write better stories at a younger age.

I've given up on trying to help out.  I mean, I'll toss the occasional suggestion or short outline his way, but that's it.  As far as actual writing help is concerned, I no longer bother.  It's now just a source of amusement.  Like a certain thread here.

Seriously?

Now for some odd reason I have this inexplicable urge to make a parody story that's better written than the original.

I don't know why, either.

It really wouldn't be hard.  I can [parasitic bomb] out something better than his 10-15 years of work in a good minute or three.

It took at least 10 years to write that pile of crap?

By god. It's like Twilight all over again. Except there's effort put into it!

...Well, okay, misguided effort, but effort!

Well, ten years of revisions to that pile of crap.

What makes it so much more worse, and funnier, is that he's banking on this story of his.  I mean, he has NO other job prospects, no other career choices, no other skills, nothing.

It's just utterly sad.  The story is unoriginal, uninteresting, and poorly-written.

Wow.

That is sad. I hope to never end up like him.

...Now if I can just start on my damn novel already. For some odd reason I have trouble starting the damn thing when I have more than enough to start writing.

Wow.

That is sad. I hope to never end up like him.

He is a perfect, perfect example of the type of human being you never want to end up as.  We're talking about a person who wants to be a writer, yet doesn't know how to write an outline.  AN OUTLINE.  Something that takes no skill at all to write up.  And yet, it doesn't enter in his brain that perhaps he needs writing lessons if he's asking Quickie how to write one!

He claimed he never wrote notes.  I've seen his "notes".  It's full-on prose.  It's unnecessary.  Needlessly complicated.  Waste of space.  Embrace the sentence fragment.  As I have done here.

How the hell can someone not know how to write an outline?  I mean, seriously!  How can a person not know how to write a BULLETED LIST?!
you haven't stopped him yet?

"Well, I got my copy of Fire Red in the mail today...

Only problem is that the save data deletes itself when ever I play Platinum with it in the GBA slot.

That and the fact that the cartridge doesn't look like the Fire Red cartridge makes me question this game's legitimacy."
