Well, first figure out what kinds of food you like to eat. Then, find a good Cookbook or Recipe book. Then follow instructions. When you feel comfy, then get creative.

When I started cooking, I just wanted to make weird meals. Sukiyaki, white lasagna, manicotti, spaghetti squash, tori no kara-age (my spelling might be off)...

Danm this cook book may have a lot of recipes but it's really old it doesn't even have lasagna in it and it's built like a dictonary.

EDIT: Okay it does have lasagna but it doesn't have it's own section for it which mean there are probably very few lasagna recipies.
