Call me picky, but whenever a fan translation of a manga makes me think "[tornado fang] it, I'll just buy the official release", then there's got to be something horribly wrong with the fan translation.

Unless someone can point me in the direction of a really good One Piece fan translation.

Fan translations are a tricky thing. Too many times it seems to be a sounding board for the author's own opinion rather than a direct transliteration of the material.
