So, I'm trying to convince a friend that Pokemon is nothing like MLP.  He thinks that adult fans who enjoy the games are creepy, like Bronies are creepy.

Anyways I have terrible coverage in this class for some reason.

Naming characters in general is fun.

Like RPGs such as Etrian Odyssey. Every person you recruit to join your guild, you can name.

I have a habit of naming my Pokemon after mythological figures. My Cyndaquil is Ratatosk, my Salamence is Nidhoggr, Spinarak is Arachne, Pikachu is Zeus, etc.

So I was going to send out a birthday list this year.

Then mom shot it down because I can't trust my family to follow a list properly, or save money for that matter since "Lol what's online shopping I only do that for myself".
I wouldn't mind so much if people followed my list, but they don't (I ask for a limited edition, they get standard, I ask for somebody to buy stuff off of amazon, they buy it from BestBuy for full price, I get something I already have/didn't ask for/didn't want occasionally, but in those cases it was because "Last minute shopping yay" and I can just return it.)

So I'm just going to tell people to get me money again.

First world problems yaayyyy.

You know what, looking at this I can't help but think that I'm a spoiled [dark hold] and I should just be happy with what I get at all since its not like they have to buy my gifts at all anyway.

I gave a list for the last two Xmas'. I got every item on those lists, due in part to

A) No Limited Editions
B) All the Anime was bought by my parents (It was just FMP)
C) When SMAS Wii came out, I bought it myself to save the trouble.


So I guess this time it'll have to be:

A) Cut out Anime since I can't trust my family to not waste $60 on something that should only cost $30
B) Remove my Guidelines because mom gets annoyed by that
C) Cut the list down to just games.... which is 4 items.

That'll save their [tornado fang]ing money. I'm trying to do good here, get people to stop buying [parasitic bomb] at Brick-And-Mortars where they only sell at MSRP and get them online where everything is cheaper. Why can't anybody notice that?

Although we just found this secondhand game store where everything is dirt cheap. Got a couple of new-condition Wii games for like twenty bucks and I got a couple GBA games for five bucks each. (At Gamestop I think the GBA games are still like 10-20.)

I don't bother with lists anymore.  If my folks want to get me something, I suggest gift cards.  Only my brother and I exchange lists, because we know how to shop for each other and for our folks.

My mom just gives me a budget and I get what I want.  My relatives either give me gift cards, clothes, lotions and other stuff.  I used to get make up too but I think they took the hint that I never wear that stuff.

My grandparents used to take me shopping for gifts, but lately they decided that I was too old for that.

That hurt me. Mainly because now they're just going to buy me stuff like those Jelly Belly rejects that have that godawful Peppermint flavor dominating the bags.
