Well, I never had an NES. I grew up with a SNES (We didn't get it till I was 2 or something), my first game was the pack in, Donkey Kong Country. [tornado fang] Yeah those are some good memories, still pop it in for nostalgia every once and a while. I usually play 2 Player team with my parents. Even though I can beat the game by myself now...

We used PASSWORDS. Do you even know that word?

I have no idea what passwords are. Back in our days, if we died, we had to start all over. We couldn't even turn back one step.

1 credit, and that's it! No continues were allowed. It's a respectful way to play (and beat) games. ^^

About the same as Fxeni. Well, I have a hazy memory but I recall playing Duck Hunt, Super Mario Bros and the such when I was around 4-5 years old. My brother was basically the owner of the systems, including the SNES and he gave them all to me when I left with my mother during the time of their separation. I've been gaming since, and will never stop gaming. 8D

You are assuming Nintendo will stop milking the Mario franchise anytime in the next 20 years.

Earliest stuff I can recall playing were Pang/Buster bros. and Wonder Boy on Arcade machines, Arkanoid on a SpectrumZX and Mario Bros. on a NES.
All of them around the age of 4.

I finally got the whole story recently.

My first game was, in fact, Super Mario Bros. which was given to me on Christmas morning by (ironically) my mom, who has always had an underlying problem with my game-playing. Her fault! And she tried to pass it off on Randy who gave me the Game Boy and Tetris!

Sidenote: Wii Sports Resort is actually pretty fun; I already maxed out on Swordplay, and found all the i Point on the flyover mode!

I think that my first game was Электроника ИМ 24-01 Mickey Mouse (a clone of Game & Watch Egg). I still remember my high score: 749 8D
After that it was my uncle's NES/famicom/pegasus/dendy/whatever clone it was. I knew I had to own something like this, and finally at the age of 8 I got my very own console. And I still have no idea what the hell it is (original famicom or a clone, and if it is a clone, what is it's real name).

On a small sidenote, I had no [tornado fang]ing clue how to play the N64 the first time I tried it (By now it was 1998... I think). I didn't know how to move around on Mario 64, so I just kept hitting the B button and the D-pad, thinking it was how I played. Same with Banjo-Kazooie, had no [tornado fang]ing clue on how to move, just kept hitting the B button. Now I look back and laugh at how stupid I was...  :V

(older brother's) NES, Mario and MegaMan.  My mom used to play the earlier with me, before I was old enough to be left alone with my brothers.
