Are you saying Guilty Gear has a shitty story?

It's certainly not bad. But got kinda [tornado fang]'d when they introduced I-No and her time travellin ability plus the alternate timelines thing. I still like it mind you.

So it doesn't fulfill the requirement. Bad story -> bad gameplay.
Which isn't really TRUE, I know, but it's my expectations before playing...

I just want a classic style FF game again but preferably with a battle system that is post FFIV or post FFVI without the limit breaks or a magic learning system.

this reminded me that I still need to find translations for the novels and the drama tracks to XX.

If i'm remembering correctly, the first FF game had the "four warriors of light," and the very first thing you did in the game was save the princess. While the "warriors of light" theme would be used again several times in the FF series, this seems almost like a homage or reference to the first game, at least IMO. Coincidence?

I wonder if it means the crystals are coming back and you have to defeat some demon/wizard/god/dragon guy as the Big Bad?  :\

Not really a coincidence. It seems like the game is kinda going off that angle intentionally, especially with the new news about it potentially being a FF1 side story.

Yoshida is the FFT, Vagrant Story, and FF12 artist. He does a great job at designing things with a medieval European flair.

But I like them both, Yoshida and Nomura. But Nomura had... his phases.

Although I prefer Amano's tastes, this Yoshida guy sounds interesting.

Yoshida's pretty cool.

Here's some FFT art

Here's some Vagrant Story art

Both done by him.

Reminds me of Animal Crossing. I hoped to see the battlesystem though.

Yeah, that is what I was thinking but why did they make the game llok like that? I guess I might start the Fan Dumb community who will bash on this game endless due to the graphics although FF fans are a lot more open minded than Zelda fans in that category.

I think they chose this style as an homage to the old big-headed characters. The graphics aren't so different from FF3DS and FF4DS.
