Ok, so, back when I posted the Sam fanservice picture, a guy over at the Telltale forums posted that with the "Hello ladies" it reminded him of the Old Spice man [this guy , monocle smile is from this video in specific), and then another guy wrote a parody of it with Sam instead of him. After that, how could I NOT do something like this :laughing:

I like how it came out, even if I'm sure I completely messed up its proportions. The car is based on Sam and Max's Desoto since I had an image of it at hand, but it's not necessarily the same.

As for how it's driving despite there being no driver in the car, pick one of the following 3 possible explanations:
a) It's possessed.
b)Someone thought it'd be funny to put a brick on the accelerator and see what happens.
c)I was too lazy to draw someone.

Ok, I can't think of a better name for this.

Started as a doodle to practice a pose (it shows doesn't it?), then I kinda liked how it came out and added another character to the pic, and then I liked how that came out too and added a simple background to it (since the moon is behind them and the shadows wouldn't make much sense I quickly added a searchlight too >.>).

A month ago, my design teacher told us all to design really, really simple characters (5 or 6 planes limit) that would form part of a story and then make them by cutting and pasting colored sheets of paper, and I'm uploading them now just because. If there's still any writing in there that I did or didn't notice it's because I was too lazy to erase anything after cropping the picture already.

This is Guy (no, I didn't spend more than 5 seconds thinking of names), his clothes were cursed and turned evil and now he's on an epic quest to get them back.

I was wondering what my character would wear during the hottest and the coldest seasons of the year, so I doodled this.

For summer it's a normal swimsuit and the usual fingerless gloves. Obviously this is for the beach only, otherwise he's just wearing the same as usual sans the jacket.

For winter it'd be black pants, a white shirt, black gloves and a white coat with black fur or whatever that's called >__> Fun fact, his shirt is supposed to be tucked because I recently found out that I get less cold that way.

I felt like trying to draw my version of human Sam and Max as kids, not much else to say I guess.

Well, only two things.

-I hope it does look like Sam's ice cream is melting, it's the first time I try to do that >.>
-I thought it be cute if Max was trying to set bugs or grass on fire with a magnifying lense. Oh yeah, and he's wearing bunny feet slippers.

I should really get to finishing my Halloween entry after this if I want to finish it on time...

Speaking of which, I also sketched BatMax and BatSam to have an idea of how I was going to draw them.

I'm not familiar with GIMP so I can't help you there.

Haha, it's just Photoshop lite, whatever you can do in Photoshop I can probably do it in a more annoying way. Besides, all I'm asking is how can I make it look better.

I'd say set the brush opacity into something like 50% and try finding soft brush (like airbrush in photoshop) and play around with it. Also don't use only 2 colors.

I would start with a gradient from a light saturated to a darker desaturated orange to get a base for the light source and then start going darker for the clouds. Use a soft, low opacity brush too, as borock mentioned.

Or if you feel lazy get a clouds texture and change colors :F

As the title says I'm just experimenting here with sharpies and shading, nothing too serious. Yes, it's experimenting, not practicing because I honestly have no effing clue of what I'm doing >.>

Sam is there because noir Sam felt appropiate for this style tbh. Speaking of him, I really think I shouldn't have added a shadow on his teeth, and I honestly think I just messed up the one on the bottom (he's supposed to be directly beneath a light) but you be the judge I guess.

Oh yeah, and I won nothing, 3 of the things I mentioned above did though.
