Maybe I haven't been in the Pokemon world longer than I thought, but... People use OHKO's?

I just use one-hit KO moves that are only one-hit KO moves because my Pokemon are so overpowered. Plus, type match-ups help them get that way too. CHARIZARD, USE FIRE BLAST ON THAT Lv. 1 ODDISH! 1-HIT KO! Oh yeah!

Yes, I like picking on Pokemon that are way weaker than mine. Their fault for running into me whilst I am doing donuts for no readily apparent reason.

Also, Jelly. Yes. Horn Drill is one of them. Rarely use it, too few PP.

Heck, I had a hard time with the Elite four even in the original in R/S, G/S were a little too simple but the difficulty came back in the remake.

Horn Drill, Guillotine, Fissure, Sheer Cold are all OHKO moves.

I'm confused about that. I'm thinkin' Sandstorm, or something along those lines, something that changes the weather. I think Sandstorm reduces Hit. Hit is Accuracy, right? Haven't played PKMN in a while.

If we go by your definition Mirby...
There is an ability called Sand Veil, that raises the evasioness of the Pokemon during a Sandstorm. The more turns Sandstorm remains, the higher the evasion. Of course, if Sandstorm stops, evasion is reset to default value.
Or Sand Stream, that causes Sandstorm to whip up for the rest of the battle.

Still nothing about the 80 part though...

Sadly, I don't remember my Red-slaughtering team from Silver. I know it consisted of a Typhlosion named Flame Boy (always named my fire starter that; first water pokemon is always named Wet Willy) and 5 others. No idea who they were though.

having this ability on a 2on2 fight with a speedy PKMN that knows OHKO moves would be cruel

If you're gonna call a pokemon useless because it has a counter, pretty much every pokemon ever is useless.

Mewtwo's banned from standard play anyway.

Eh if I ever did use a Tyranitar and ever had to fight Mewtwo with it, I'd just try to kill Mewtwo before he kills me using Crunch or any Dark type move I please.
