So they will almost certainly have drastically upgraded graphics and sound. Details will be released on the official site shortly.

Currently in development for the Nintendo DS are the newest entries in the Pokemon series: "Pocket Monsters HeartGold and SoulSilver." Taking place in the Johto region, the games will be upgraded with all of the series' current features and will also be paced with brand new features. You are guaranteed a OHKO if you run a +atk nature 252 atk EV Banded Typhlosion against a -def nature Feraligatr with no EVs and IVs of 0 in HP and defense, I must admit! If it's taken stealth rock damage, that is.

You know, maybe Gold and Silver did have hauntings, and these are probably them.

Sprout Tower, because ghosts from all over Johto are said to visit it at night.
Tin Tower, because it is said to be a resting place for Pokemon.

Both of these explain the massive influx of Ghastly at night in both.
