I don't know what program that file was saved with, but the reason it's so huge is because the compression sucks. Resave it with GIMP, put it through PNGout and presto! 1.86 MB. 27% of the filesize with the same image quality.

Or you could save it as a high-quality jpeg and bring it down to a few hundred kilobytes...

Artwork like that is MASSIVE in PNG format due to all the colors. It works like a bitmap.
