The funny thing is that I was looking for that berry that lowers the effect of super-effective Electric attacks before the fight to put on Phione.  Grass Knot on Lapras was pretty nice, though.  I should've predicted better in the beginning of the fight, though; you had already seen my lead so I figured you wouldn't switch out.

I actually changed my lead before I knew you were my opponent.  My team doesn't have a "fixed" opener, I alternate between three different pairs.  Cresselia is my only character with setup-moves, however Steelix/Rotom probably makes the most sense since they're the least powerful of the three sets, but then they carry some unique talents too.  I guess throwing any 'man to early can screw you, depending on who your opponent is.

A word to the wise, though: Running a wall/sponge in Doubles (your Dry Skin Toxicroak) carries the serious risk of encouraging the enemy to double up on their teammate.  Since you were not fortunate enough to Will-O-Wisp Steelix this time, I could freely ignore Toxicroak and focus on bringing down the Water attackers.  I'll probably regret telling you this, but getting a little more aggressive with Cross Poison Poison Jab (pardon my crappy memory, anyway it really should be your main attack unless priority is actually needed), and possibly also getting equipped with Focus Punch (would work great with the Substitute), could go a long way.

Funny thing is, I've been planning on replacing Poison Jab with Focus Punch, but I just don't have the TM for that (used it on something else).  Outside of Sucker Punch, those are my 2 main sources of damage.  The 4th move that you haven't seen is Feint, because Protect is just so common in doubles.  It didn't help much here, but it's been used otherwise.

Ah, the 4-attack limit is always troublesome...

Well, Feint won't help much against me since Steelix is my only 'man with Protect, and a physical Base-50 Normal attack would barely scratch him.  But yeah, a lot of it depends on who you face most often.

Feint has it's moments, particularly if you foil something like a Protect-Earthquake combo.  I'm also considering Ludicolo as an alternate to Phione.  I could probably use the typing, as a faster grass user could cover some extra ground.

For those that have HGSS, from November 11th to November 23rd, Mew will be downloadable via Mystery Gift over the Nintendo WiFi connection.
It will be lvl5, and have the Premier Ribbon.
However, no news on whether this Mew will have any special effect in-game.
This Mew is ALSO downloadable via Mystery Gift over WiFi for Diamond, Pearl and Platinum from January 29th to February 11th, for the Japanese players first.
FINALLY, a legit Mew is coming in the future...

Well, it'll be nice to finally be able to get a legit Mew.  I wonder if we'll be able to get a Celebi/Jirachi event in the future.

Cerebi, most definitely in HGSS because of the whole Giovani event, and Jirachi already had an event in JP McDonalds =P

My life is currently bears and Jojos and everything is great.

Though somewhat tedious, I can get all the legitimate Jirachi I want.  I tracked down the promotional Colosseum disc and I have no qualms about resetting Sapphire. 8)

Mew Wifi event, awesome.  Now I don't have to worry about sharking Emerald (my GBA AR rarely if ever works anymore).

Slight update on Mew.
Lvl5, Cherish Ball, Premier/e Ribbon, only knows Pound.
^ Note this new tidbit.

Also, Pokemon Rumble, or some of you might know it as Melee! Pokemon Scramble, will be available on the Wii Shop Channel starting from November 16th.
When you head over to Toys R Us to download the Movie Arceus from November 7th to 15th, you will also receive a set of Explorers of Sky stickers, as well as a Pokemon Rumble poster.

EDIT:
One more interesting tidbit.
HGSS has revealed the Forme names for Cherrim.
The normal form of Cherrim all closed up is called Negative Forme, while the form of Cherrim under the effect of Sunny Day is called Positive Forme.

I have no Doubles team, though, for the time being. I just completed my first team yesterday. ^^;;

Can it be a Singles match?

Sure, I can fight Singles.  I PREFER Doubles, but I'll go either way.

Got your PM.  My FC is 4983-1423-7644.  Ready and waiting.

Well, we both had some "not paying attention" moments there.  Good match, though.

Hey, I needed some reason to use him.  :P  Mewtwo got booted from my Doubles team due to being really a stand-alone Pokemon.  Definitely want him when I decide to make a proper Singles team, but I may want to adjust attacks and EVs a bit.

Well, all you trainers from America, don't forget to download your Movie Arceus at your nearest Toys R Us from now until 15th November. *Envy*

Also, those that live in Australia also get a chance to download this Arceus at various EB Games and K-Mart stores, from now to 16th November. *Double envy*

We shall see.  My main interest is actually the HG/SS event myself, since I never got Platinum that's the only way I'm getting Giratina's orb.
