Not really a script, per se, but more of a rant.

I don't know if I'll keep doing rants after this one, so it'll be more of a trial period than anything else, so feedback will be very important with this one.
---
Today's Rant Topic: Splenda.

You probably know of this product's existence, but for those who are uninformed (besides asking what kind of rock they've been living under) it's basically a sugar substitute that's made with sugar and is supposed to be better tasting and better for you.

What I'm wondering is how can something be a substitute for something else when that substitute is made with the very thing that it's supposed to substitute. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of a substitute?

That's like making a meat substitute and making it out of meat.

Yes, Splenda isn't really sugar but the fact that it's made with sugar in the first place kind of feels odd to me. Not sure why.

A script I made up just now based upon this picture that Borockman drew.

---
Boy: Boy, it sure is great to be able to walk in the halls without getting raped.

Boy: Shock!

Boy: With my incredibly convenient super eye sight I can clearly see that girl is very gloomy!

Girl: I watch you when you pee.

Boy: OH SHI-

Here's another rant, the topic has to do with the holiday we're celebrating today.

---
Today's Rant Topic: Valentine's Day Bitterness.

I'm a very bitter person when it comes to Valentine's Day.

It's not just because I don't have a girlfriend, but it's a good reason I'm bitter. It's the fact that Valentine's Day is constantly advertised as a couple's holiday, and if you're single you can just bugger off while the couples have their fun. It's gotten to the point where I won't even treat Valentine's Day as a holiday anymore. And if I do acknowledge it as a holiday, I call it "Single's Awareness Day."

Why? Because I'm never more aware of my single status then on this day. In fact for some odd reason I can't help but remember my failures in playing this game of love.

Now don't get me wrong, my attitude might change when I do eventually get a girlfriend, but god damnit, I hate this holiday. Not the people who celebrate it, per se, but if you're annoying about being in a couple then you'll go on the list of reasons I hate this holiday.

For all you singles out there, Happy Single's Awareness Day. Hopefully that'll change next year.

For all you couples out there, Happy Valentine's Day. Good luck in the future.

For all the companys that benefit from this holiday: [tornado fang] YOU. Especially you Hallmark.

Well, I never cared much for Valentine's Day anyways, but that's an interesting perspective you have. Over here it's the Day of Love and Friendship, not Valentine's, so you can go do stuff with your other single friends instead of going out with a girlfriend anyways :P

My life is currently bears and Jojos and everything is great.

Oh, looks like I opened some old wounds. My bad.

Anyways, new script. Playing Persona 4 gave me the idea for this one.

Also, a new character.

---
The Hero, feeling overwhelmed by the prospect of facing a dragon randomly he decided it was time for some help. He went to the local tavern looking to add someone to his party. Maybe a Mage knowledgeable in destructive magic or maybe a Healer that is useless in all aspects of battle except for support and wearing skimpy clothing. Unfortunatly, all the other heroes had come before him and taken everyone with those skills instead he got stuck with a young female thief. Sure, she's got the skimpy clothing going with a short skirt, but Hero is sure that she tried to steal his wallet on a couple of occasions.

Soon the Thief proved herself by helping the Hero out on more than one occasion. She's even managed to steal some decent items from enemies in the last couple of battles.

Hero: You know, maybe I was wrong about you before. You're not so bad after all.

Thief: Of course. I may be a thief, but I'm still loyal to whoever I work for... Which brings me to this point, you don't look so good boss.

Hero: What are you talking about, I'm perfectly fin-

Magical Text Box: Now that she mentions it, you are feeling a little dizzy now.

Hero: Huh. Strange. I didn't notice that before. You're right, I don't feel so good.

Magical Text Box: Now you want to reward Thief for her kindness with some gold, and reach for your wallet.

Hero: I do? Well, you've never steered me wrong voice in my head.

The Hero hands The Thief a few gold coins who then escorts him to a nearby inn. After the Hero falls asleep the Thief chuckles to herself, holding a Magic Marker.

Thief: Once you figure out how they tick, Heroes are easy to scam.

New script.

I should make fun of other genres of games, these RPG ones just write themselves.
---

After a good rest at the Inn, Hero and Thief once again venture into the swamp. They've been walking down the path for a good half hour when a monster jumps out at them. The Hero recognises it immediately from his earlier experiences.

Hero: Hey! That's a rat! I remember killing a [parasitic bomb] load of those for money, and to train my weak ass self.

The Hero sighs as he reminences

Hero: Ah, those were the days.

Thief: Be careful, this monster looks dangerous.

Hero: Huh? But it's just a rat. I've killed thousands of them before.

Thief: But this is a WereRat!

Hero: ...What's the difference?

Thief: It's much stronger than a regular rat, and has a slight chance at confusing it's victims when it attacks!

Hero: That can't be right, it just looks like a rat.

Thief: Look closely, its fur is red.

Hero: ...Yeah, and your point being?

Thief: That's how you know it's a Wererat.

Hero: But it looks like a ra-

Thief: Look, it's a Wererat. End of story.

Hero reluctantly accpts this fact. The Wererat is then slain without much effort on Hero and Thief's part.

Hero: So it was just a rat!

Thief: ...No, it was a Wererat.

Hero: Well, I'll still consider it a rat with red fur, because it was so easy to kill.

Thief: Whatever, wait until you face a FeralRat.

Hero: Lemme guess, it's a yellow rat?

Thief: Green, actually.

Hero: Wow, that's actually kind of lazy.

The graphic artist in charge of the in game enemies sheds a single tear.

Hero doesn't even know about it.

And I needed to introduce a female character into these scripts, it's a sausage fest as is.
