As I was busy responding to a few posts in the Muramasa thread, this idea came to me. Everyone here, no matter how much they may play games or how frequently they may buy them, knows that this hobby of ours can be a costly one at times. This topic's premise is to basically find out just how much we individually will wind up spending based on our budgets and what we know of the gaming year so far.

To make things interesting, calculate the totals if you'd like to and compare them to how much you think or know you spent last year and see if you can tell us what happened there!

Also, to make this all easier for everyone, you can put things into categories like "Definitely Bought", "On the Fence", "Need More Information" etc.

With that all said, I'll start off!

As I think up things to put on this list, I realize that I will never buy them all due to my budget, opportunities and overall luck.

Next edit will be for DS games. I'll be sure to keep updating mine as time passes though, and I hope that you all do the same.

One last note, you don't have to limit your lists to only games coming out in the current calendar year, you're free to list anything from the past that you need to catch up on or missed out on but will buy soon.

With this all said and done, let the listing commence!

not counting how much i've already spent, which i've forgotten the amount:

Definite:
Street Fighter IV Collector's Edition - $80
Mirror's Edge DLC - $10
Madworld - $50
Sin and Punishment 2 - $50
Resident Evil 5 - $60
Prince of Persia - $60
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus - $30~50 (depends on what system i get it on)
Banjo Tooie XBLA - $15
DSi - $150?

Maybe:
Sonic and the Black Knight - wait for the price to drop
Prince of Persia DLC - dunno how much its worth
NPC Metroid Prime 2 - depends on what's changed
Punch Out

so at the least, i'm looking at spending $505. and this is only stuff i can actually think of, and stuff i know exists.

In a best case scenario (for me, most definitely not my wallet), this is what I would buy:

-King of Fighters Orochi Saga Collection Wii (I couldn't buy it last year D:)
-Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus Wii (couldn't buy normal Accent Core, so I'll get this instead)
-Sonic and the Black Knight (hey, I liked Secret Rings, I'm willing to give this a chance)
-Madworld (big maybe though, I'm not sure my parents would let me >.>)
-The Conduit
-Oboro Muramasa (no excuses, I WILL buy this)
-New Play Control! Pikmin
-New Play Control! Pikmin 2 (never got them for the cube)
-Mario & Luigi 3 (another must buy)
-Miles Edgeworth Perfect Prosecutor (I don't see this game not coming out this year)
-Punch Out!
-Sin & Punishment 2
-the inevitable Rayman Raving Rabbids 4 (you know it'll happen)
-Megaman Starforce 3
-an Xbox 360 (for my birthday, I really need one)
-Street Fighter 4 (if possible for 360, if not for PC)
-King of Fighters XII
-An arcade stick to make those 360 fighters playable
-King of Fighters 98 UM XBLA
-King of Fighters 2002 UM PS2/maybe XBLA too

As I said, this is the best case scenario (so far), there's no [tornado fang]ing way I'll be able to get all of this

Aside from adding Stop n Swop back in (apparently), they're taking the multiplayer mode onto Xbox Live.

It'll be the closest thing we have to Perfect Dark/Goldeneye.

While I have been planning my purchases since about the later half of the year, I'm not going to reveal my plans due to laziness.

I will say, though, that a [parasitic bomb] load of my money is going towards gaming.

As much as I don't spend on games since a few years ago (mostly I get them from friends for PC, or on borrowed consoles), I'm gonna spend whatever it takes for me to buy Street Fighter IV on PC.
