 I can say this Roll is really accurate here.. well, trigger on the other hand.. needs the stuff that stormtrooper armors are made of. It just feels.. too.. plastic. I think the plastic stormtrooper uniform that the fans make is the same material that is used to make stopsigns, which in turn, they use the stopsigns themselves to make thier own suit. |

If I remember when I asked, at least one member of our local 501st used PVC plastic. I believe that is usually used for stormtrooper armor.
Stop signs here are made of metal. That would be very heavy, harder to work with, hotter to wear, and I don't think the 501st recommends using sheet metal. Unless you absolutely want to.

Here where I live Stop signs were made more or so PVC Plastic, the "armor" that was made to use for the cosplay looked like soft plastic. I also found a "how-to" make a stormtrooper outfit using that such material. I don't certain plastics to be used for certain armor.. Posted on: September 22, 2010, 10:50:50 PM
