http://www.cnbc.com/2015/09/15/the-90s-are-coming-nick-teases-new-tv-channel-maybe.html

Quote
Nickelodeon, the cartoon powerhouse behind "Hey Arnold!," "Rugrats" and "The Wild Thornberrys," could be in the process of developing a channel strictly for classic '90s TV shows.

Nickelodeon has remained tight-lipped about the project, releasing veiled messages on social media with the hashtag #TheSplatIsComing.

"The great ‘90s experiment now has a launch date: Monday, Oct. 5, with its first block of programming scheduled to air on TeenNick.

Presently, the series slate consists of All That, Angry Beavers, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, CatDog, Clarissa Explains It All, Hey Arnold!, Hey Dude, Kenan & Kel, Ren & Stimpy, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Rocko’s Modern Life, Rugrats, Salute Your Shorts, and The Wild Thornberrys."

EDIT: The official site

I am not missing this for the world. I'm so happy right now!

It really does considering that you don't really hear people talk about any Nick Shows unlike Disney and Cartoon Network.   Still I miss Angry Beavers, Rocko's Modern Life and Legends of the Hidden Temple like nothing else.

Current playthrough: Chrono Trigger and God Eater Ressurection

Like Toonami, most of that stuff wasn't broadcasted up here or at least not on basic cable. We got a smaller slew of their cartoons, likely whatever is still going today such as Spongebob and Fairly Oddparents. Angry Beavers had some short run at least; I'd probably re-watch that much. The rest I'm always indifferent to.

Fine time for me to not have regular TV.

Oh well, at least I have the complete set of Ren & Stimpy...

I've rewatched Hey Arnold, like, 4 times over.

I could easily go for a 5th. Can't wait to watch Rugrats and Wild Thornberrys again.

The Adventures of Pete & Pete was a show ahead of its time.

"Endless Mike" is still, to this day, one of the greatest names for a villain/antagonist ever.

I never heard of The Adventures of Pete and Pete, Clarissa Explains it All or Salute your Shorts.  I also don't remember Hey Dude.

Current playthrough: Chrono Trigger and God Eater Ressurection

I didn't like Hey Dude.  Thought it was meh.

Adventures of Pete and Pete was the greatest show ever.

That makes sense. They were before your time. Clarissa Explains it All was another brilliant show. Not as genius as Pete & Pete, but still really really good. Salute Your Shorts & Hey Dude were okay, but a bit too hammy at times.

I liked Salute Your Shorts more than Hey Dude.  Of the two, Hey Dude was the weakest.

It has been a long time since I saw The Adventures of Pete & Pete, one of my favorites back in the day. I also had fond memories of being freaked out by Are You Afraid of the Dark? as a kid, especially that [tornado fang]ing intro. I always looked away from it because of how eerie and ominous it was and how it sets the mood for the ghost stories that were being told.

That makes sense. They were before your time. Clarissa Explains it All was another brilliant show. Not as genius as Pete & Pete, but still really really good. Salute Your Shorts & Hey Dude were okay, but a bit too hammy at times.
I think my older brother is trying to get Clarissa Explains it All on DVD along with Pete & Pete.

Hey Dude had the better opening. Salute Your Shorts was overall better though, despite my crush on Melanie at the time!  8D

According to The Splat website, The Adventures of Pete & Pete will air on the first night.

Then they have my full attention. Thanks Phi! XD
