I thought this would be a nifty little thing to start.
There are tools out there that allow you to manipulate and change what happens in a ROM. They let you be almost as creative as possible. For some, they'll do one or two insanely hard levels just to test their skill or that of someone else. For others, they'll reinvent the game to their image. This thread is for Super Mario World hacks that you've seen, played, or made.
The one I've been working on isn't half bad for someone who barely understands half the stuff in Lunar Magic. I've made 3 levels and redid Yoshi's house. The first level is a bit longer and way harder (you're greeted by a Koopa and two Bullet Bills within half a second of the start), the Yellow Switch Palace is now an actual level (avoiding enemies, solving a puzzle, and then hitting the switch), but still shorter than normal levels, and finally the second level is filled with traps. Think going in one direction is good? Nope. Think you can make it to the end? Sorry! I plan on changing it up a bit and making the very end just a tad bit harder, just for the hell of it.
