H: We found ourselves the easiest and cheapest way to colorize maps and save time. Just take the map from VGMaps, double the resolution in Paint, upload the map in Game Maker, color only certain tiles of the map, when making the room, insert the map, then go back and make it a tileset then go back and turn off delete underlying layer and grab a tile and put it on top of the tile.

I hope that grossly high color count is just the result of your screen shot saving and not in the actual tiles.

The actual tiles were spinach-green or black n' white. We colorized certain tiles of the game and duplicated them.

Here is Fireman's stage















Next stage is Elecman. There is some debate on what colors to use for Cutman and the Wily Stages since Cutman looks nothing like its NES counterpart and the Wily stages are original. Also note that the color of the Wily W matches the color Megaman will be when he has the robots power.

OK that doesn't answer my question at all. I want to know if the 1097 colors per screen is your actual intention or its an error in the way you saved these sample images. Honestly there shouldn't be over 12 colors in these screens, period.

Oh then that's an error with screenshotting when cropping them out from "Print Screened" images. That's probably where the missing colors came from. We still trying to get the screen_save() function to work.
