That's got to have a market somewhere and you know it.

A niche of about 30,000.

Worldwide.

EDIT: Maybe.

Now I do want KH for my DS, but not like this.

Call me when it's KH1 Final Mix DS!

Game's not going to sell.

Don't release it, not because of the content or psychological depth, but because it just AIN'T marketable!

See your beloved Disney characters bastardized and mechanized, horrifically revealing an untold side of the great animation legend Walt Disney!

Doesn't. Work. I'm not sure about this suicidal Mickey short, though. Why would he be the reaper, then? Makes no sense.

Scenario is a pretty new term for me and for reviewers.

Advertising is good for just that; introducing characters and plots that would make potential buyers give a ****.

That kind of intrigue was what made MMBN2 and 3 so great, and why Starforce failed to deliver in SF2 and 3. The players cared about Omega-Xis and Geo's dad, but everyone knew their fates long before MMSF3's ending.

Same for ZX/A.

The hard part is figuring out what consumers want.

Admittedly, I'm proudly part of the problem, because Okami, Viewtiful Joe, Muramasa, and No More Heroes just don't appeal to me, and Westernizing it doesn't solve anything.

I laughed when Halo was released, but somehow it didn't become an "FPS Flavor of the Month."

Why does Mega Man not appeal compared to Halo's burned out settings?

And why is Brutal Legend so hotly anticipated when early reports are that the gameplay's weak? What drove M&L: Bowser's Inside Story?

STORY. Capcom's got a nasty habit of making paper-thin plots.

Rockman Series / Re: Out of all the villains...
« on: September 26, 2009, 11:44:32 PM »
Lumine and his new-age Hitler ideals.

And he got beat by three outdated robots.

Actually, that takes the chocolate flavors out of the running, then, and Dark Nebula has more or less been conquered.

Somewhere deep in...what I assume is outer space, the Dark Energy from MM8 is still wreaking havoc. If that's the universe's source of the MM/X/Z/ZX/Legends line of evil (DE, Virus, and Carbon Eliminators, respectively), then that's the ultimate evil.

Hahaha, King. Not even my Bass.EXE is evil enough to make the list. Forte, an almost Samus-like personality, is still lurking somewhere in that brown-caped figure.

There are but a handful of MM villains that would get close to the title, and come in 2 flavors:
Chocolate, "evil leader that indiscriminately kills and controls because it's for the greater good" flavor:
1. Mother Unit (MML2)
2. Dr. Albert (MMZXA)

Or just plain ol' vanilla, evil-incarnate with hardly any one shape, it seems, but the same dark source:
3. Dark Nebula (MMBN5)
4. Dark Energy (MM8)

Take your pick.

Though the series wrapped up three years ago, thanks to the players Rockman EXE is able to sell once again.

If that doesn't mean "We're going to make more MMBN games," it means more EXE OSS'.

And I think even Capcom knows the latter is a bad move for the series' image.

BassAnly.

Took me forever to figure out what Anly meant.

Anomaly. Though why 'anomaly', I don't know.

When you hit the Beach Area, the game gets pretty overwhelming in a lot of ways, because you're starting to see how much junk there is to do, and the story doesn't get good until a very long stretch where you finally hit Devil's Isle and the tournament.

I wish I knew.

I was of the understanding that they were going to reveal everyone at TGS. But then there's that trailer, missing the correct number of characters.

Oooh, I never thought about Kirby and Megaman switching powersets.

PLASMA MEGAMAN

Adorable Yo-yo Megaman

Toad Kirby, d'awwww

Skull Kirby FTW

... there was a dash button in R&F.

There sure was, because I distinctly remember kicking tail as Bass, and I could not have done that without an L-Dash.

Moreover, I own Xtreme2 and have beaten it a few times already. Down+jump is fine and all for dashing, but you can't dash jump after that.

What Sato said!

what's wrong with disco?

The idea that it would beat any form of RAWK!

I happily admit defeat this time, though.
Besides, RAWK is still in that song, just kinda kickin' it backline.

Gate's Stages...can't remember...

(X2 themes)

OH. Well, yeah. Of course they're going to rock when they've got SNES composition.

Explain how assigning Classic-series slide commands to dash constitutes a "god awful control scheme".  Damn better job than MM&B did of coping with button loss.

The game still controls better than PS1.

Because you can get extra jump out of a dash, but not a slide.

Zero's X4 theme would have been the best if it were tweaked to be a little deeper, sound more like a boss theme.

Y'know, Wily-created and all.
