Bah, if he was disappointed with them, they wouldn't be back, not here, or in M&L1.

I can't wait. I just can't wait! I can't wait to play Rainbow Land; this will be AWESOwait...

Wait. Will World 9 have a boss? Or a fortress?
...ha, what, is the boss 'Cosmic Mario and Cosmic Luigi'? Maybe it just ends.

Heh, I was thinking Mario and Luigi vs. the 2. But you're right, there's 4 players now; it's like Bowser and Bowser Jr. is almost guaranteed, but I'm curious to see what made Bowser Jr. "cool" in this game.

Ain't the Klown Kar.
And I don't think Nintendo would timeskip beyond a simple Dry Bowser, either.
Or Misty. Mmmm, timeskips.

Bowser (or Bowser+, last boss of SMS and NSMBDS) and Grown Bowser Jr. would be more deadly as a duo, rather than a fused thingamabob.

Giga Bowser and Adrenaline Baby Bowser can't even take down the Marios.

Dunno about Adrenaline Bowser, though.

Despite the Klown Kar, Final Boss music sure sounds like an on-foot, on-ground battle to me. Or at least one of the two are on-ground.

Do we even need Rock saying anything?
He's got his heater pointed at Wily!

For me, it really hinges on the "laws of robotics" Dr. Light refers to in MMX1. If it's the same as Asimov's, well, that's one thing. If Dr. Light found out about the events of the ending of MM7, it would have encouraged him to build Megaman X, in an attempt to avoid any human deaths by robots.

But if Asimov's Laws do not apply, then it's just Mega Man getting sick of jumping Yoku Blocks and the damage Wily does without remorse, instead of finding a constructive way to make whatever point it was that he had in mind. Granted, though, there might still be a Maverick problem, but at least Mega Man would not be found specifically at-fault, same for Light.

Huh.

So, Kamek powers up the Koopalings on the Castles.
The review says it'll make Bowser Jr. cool for once.

...

You...you don't think Kamek would age him to make, in effect, 2 Bowsers?!

Nothing, at all, against Martinet.

But the SM64 voice is deeper and more staccato than the Mickey Mario voice we've been getting since Luigi's Mansion. Which is why they've done that, BTW. Universality of VA appeal; higher voices are cartoonier and therefore more friendly to a greater age range of end-users.

Although it's that kind of "de-balling" that has killed some once-great series.
Megaman X 1-3 to X4 and on come to mind. That was aesthetic "de-balling".

Having donned a Mario costume, I can tell you that Mario's high-pitched voice even grinds the imitator's ears when trying to talk in long spurts.

They shoulda stuck with the N64 voice.
But then again, that goes for Starfox, too!

Oh, I meant that for the Wii game. The inventory is huge.

On the DS it really sucks to find the power-ups.

Oh, okay. Yeah, I'm not to worried about NSMBWii; they're already basing it on NSMB DS, and Nintendo's usually pretty good at learning from minor mistakes.

You actually don't even need that many to appear because you can store them in an inventory just like SMB3. As you advance and grab minis, hold on to 'em until you really need 'em. ;)

I would kill for this feature in Galaxy.

Yeah, if I could find 'em. :\

Worse, the Mushroom Houses have them, but it's a random draw. The best 2 ways are to go back to World 1 and farm 'em, or wait for the Red Winged Question Blocks.

And yes, more flying, include flying between planets, and remove timers.

I just finished off NSMBDS.

Yeah, I died some, but I still have 99 Lives and I'm only a few Star Coins from being 100%, although that's because I memorized half the game. Still, it's been so long that I couldn't possibly remember everything; same goes for SMB3's levels and SMSunshine's Blue Coins.

Thus, their replay value.

That said, I'm THRILLED to hear that the new suits are plentiful, and ILL that the Mini Mushroom will return. NSMB DS had so many Star Coins and secrets that rely on the Mini Mushroom but yet there were next to none. Hopefully that gets fixed.

Well, it was only a matter of time (hey, there's a LoZ subtitle) before Zelda was Link's partner.

But man, between Mario going into space for the fate of the universe and now Master Fairy/Zelda partner plots, I'm starting to think Nintendo's overdoing it!

Also, who else seems bewildered by their 'future' responses?

Were it me, I'd make the Wii last 7-8 years, wait for HD affordability and try out new IP's, then release a full 1080p/Blu-Ray/full online play w/ games and VC console.

And I hope to yell OBJECTION into the WiiSpeak mic.

And I hope I have to set the Wii Balance Board on the desk and slam my hands down before I do either!

Anyone got any tips for Shantae?

I'm playing it so I can get a lead-up to just what the new game/episodes are all about.

I've already beaten the first level and boss, but man, it seems like there's a lot of items to find and use, dancing doesn't do anything just yet, and just any useful advice beyond "Walk slowly; enemies love to pop up out of nowhere and do collision damage to you".

Story's good, although Risky Boots is a little...strange. It's like they made an Arabian Pirate Vampire Goth; they weren't sure WHAT they wanted! XD

I like how Miyamoto somehow managed to get crazier over the years.

When it results in things like the Vitality Sensor and now a possible Wii Measure game,

It's not a good thing.

We need the cancelled Star Fox 2 game to put on the WiiWare so it won't be forgettable.

Rousseau believed humans are, fundamentally, good and noble beings; we do what we believe is right because it promotes happiness, not because we are told to. We make mistakes, but that is natural, and it helps us learn. He believed we are inherently good people, but some of us lose it along the way. No-one believes they are truly evil or do evil for the sake of it, unless they are mentally insane, in which case they are not in full control of themselves. According to him, a utopia can be achieved if everyone acknowledges their inherent love and generosity.

Hobbes believed humans are, by definition, cruel, greedy and evil beings; we do things that will be of benefit to ourselves, and only do good if we can achieve something from it. We make mistakes because we do not care for others. He believed we are inherently selfish people, and that there is no such thing as true goodness, just a label to boost one's ego. According to him, a utopia cannot be achieved, because people are untrustworthy and incapable of compassion and friendship.

I believe in the fomer.

I am an idealist.

And I believe there's an equal propensity for either, and that people will choose whichever is most justified and is the path of least resistance towards a given benefit.

Tails' Adventures
Pulseman
Megaman X: Command Mission
Metal Combat: Falcon's Revenge

Really, most of my favorite games are those that are popular/have sold well. I have very few otherwise, but the ones that do like the ones listed above are gold, sheer gold.

Hopefully I can get my hands on Shantae and some other GBC games here, soon, and add that to my list.
