Growing.

Knowledge, anticipation, stress, debt, this year has just been one to grow on. Here's hoping 2010 sees the resolution of some of these growing pains, and also the fruition of some growing hope (games, such as MM10, SMG2, possibly news of an FF7 remake, and personal life including starting my Master's Degree).

Now if we can just get the Mario Galaxy hands shrunk.

I swear Mario's wearing inflatable gloves.

I was kind of hoping Re-Shelled was going to take the best of both TMNTIV's and mesh it into one.

Arcade's instrumentation, increased difficulty, and 4 player mode,
Combined with SNES' music tracks, stage progression, gameplay mechanics, Super Shredder, pretty much everything else.

Alas...

EDIT: On a related note, I did slam $5 worth of quarters into the first TMNT arcade game recently and blazed through it for the first time ever.

Man, that's fun, even if I did die a lot.

I'd actually be surprised if someone owned 20 PS3 games.

I think my best bro has like 14 or something. Including downloads, he probably has 20.

It boggles my mind; this is the same kid that loved Goemon, Pokemon, Mario Kart, LoZ, Mega Man, etc. It's crazy. But, he was a Sega kid, and as we all know, the Sega kids go the Sony route.

Charge shot's not blowing through multiple enemies.

Do they know of this?

I'm really liking the combat. Then again, I think combo-interrupting Guarding is the way to go. Enemies are also littered throughout the stage (pretty much) rather than "enter room A, fight squad of enemies 1" like DMC and Bayonetta. Granted now there are sections of enemies like those games, but there are so many that it's hardly noticeable.

The QTEs...well, I kinda like 'em, and they'll more than likely be OHKO's later on in the game (this is Hell, after all), but that's because I don't play games that have them a lot (Resident Evil, Tomb Raider, etc.). So yeah, that can get kind of grinding, I'll bet.

Why not just design these action games like 3D platformers? No sections of enemies, just more or less free roam, but still make the enemy A.I. attack and/or spawn in groups. That's how I'd design mine, anyway (and take out rank so as to justify the existence of powerups and adjust for luck).

Having gotten Wii Play and a Black Wiimote and MotionPlus over Christmas, I can safely say:

NO!

I've got more condomsjackets than I know what to do with, now! They really get in the way when you're trying to play retro games or SSBB or NSMBWii, too!

I'm pretty used to having only one weapon in my games (see: Z-Saber), so I'm content with just Death's Scythe.

I'll almost bet you'll be able to pick up other weapons or at least have enough variety in Combos and Spells to make up for it, though.

But man. Those holy spells take up a ton of Mana. That's nuts.

I got UNO for DSiWare and SSB for the Wii VC.

In this game, everybody is actually deadly! There are some characters better than others, but each character has a fighting chance! Falcon, Mario, and Luigi are actually good in this game because UpAir wasn't nerfed yet. I only wish Brawl (and to some extent Melee) kept it simple like this, but still have features like Evade and the C-to-Smash Attack shortcut. And I am SO looking forward to THE WARP PIPES!!!

I'm kicking the most tail with Yoshi, or I was there for a while, setting up all sorts of combos. Love UpA Attack: Fling 'em into the air with your nose, then SLAM them with UpA Smash. Most characters have an "over-your-head" launcher setup like this, but Yoshi's is fluid.

And definitely grab UNO, it's online ready, too. The Mic is sensitive enough if you wanted to shout UNO!, or you can activate it with inputs. All. Sorts. Of. Rule. Settings. So if you like playing a specific way, it's here, more than likely.

Which were however, built by Cossack before Wily came into his picture?

Right.

For instance, Toad Man there would probably be both:

DCN006 (or something)
and
DWN026

I think Wily gets credit for armed versions of the same robot.

They do seem to have their own split personality after Wily gets a hold of them (see: Mega Man 9 ending).
