Doesn't matter. I'd still tap it. In more ways and places than one.

It is a rather...accessible outfit.

And doggone it, couldn't one of the figures have been Chun-Li in her alt?

Definitely a round of applause in order for the new guitar stylings in the main phrases! That's just wicked!

Buuut, I still prefer the MvsC1 version.

Well, it does look like it adds one or two elements to the SMB style of play.

...even if it is a complete ripoff of said SMB style of play.

Rockman Series / Re: Musings - What Makes X Different From Rockman?
« on: December 10, 2008, 11:57:09 PM »
Eh, I can only throw in 2 comments at this point:

1) It's true; we can only assume Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics are present due to the similar, strong wording of Dr. Light's warning in the intro to X1. Until otherwise stated, the Rockman series might have some derivative of Asimov's Laws (____'s Three Laws of Robotics, Asimov's One Law of Robotics, etc.)

2) I'd like to know what "irregularities" the 30 year diagnostics scan encompasses. Is Dr. Light preventing X from becoming evil? Because if so, that is NOT free will. Probably not, though, because his warning does seem to indicate that could happen (force that could not be stopped, fallen into wrong hands, etc.)

What? No no no, Needle Cannon beats Top Man, and Hard Knuckle beats Spark Man.

Well, while I'm here, feel like it's my duty to post this:

Because it already has its own place! Everything else is kinda being lumped into here.

But, ah, what the heck, since nobody else is making a "What Manga do you currently have?" thread or something akin to it, go ahead and post it here.

lol, discrimination of art styles of different countries.

That's right! There's not a "American Cartoons and Comics" board! For shame.

There's also not a "Cavepaintings and Caveetchings" board, or a "Herbal Paints and Papyrus Masterpieces" board, or a....  8D

LOL.

 I hate chocolate :(

*spits out hot chocolate*
What?! You're kidding!

It's funny, my dad doesn't like chocolate, either. Then, I get to wondering how I got to be a chocolate fiend, and all I have to do to remind myself is hand mom a Nutrageous candy bar.

Lies! You used the name just to turn me on... >U<

Actually, there were a number of reactions to the new name! Cephi and Nekomata commented, iirc.

Oh yeah, definitely co-op.

And no time-slowing weapons, eh? You can stop time, just only for a specific amount of time.
IIRC, MMX2's Crystal Snail's charged weapon slowed time, and X2 was already easy. ZXA, people abused it, and no one could get a clear consensus on the game.

From what I understand, your combos/attacks are tied to a "beat" of notes that you must perform.

Good idea, but I was hoping it would match up to the rhythm of whatever music is currently playing. And from what vids I remember seeing, that's not the case. It'd be kinda hard to focus with 2 beats at once.

I liked FF9's ability system.

I did too, except it limited people from using their favorite characters if they weren't up to snuff in terms of combat.
And lemme tell ya, when you got to a Boss Battle, you found out who those people were in short order.

Guitarist Toshiki Horizawa arranges Wily Stage 1 in the form of a Jeff Beck-style power ballad featuring a suitably dramatic performance. In that sense, a number of artists have contributed a variety of styles to the album.

BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECK!

OOOOH, I knew something had to be terribly wrong for them to slow down Wily Stage 1. Now I see what happened.

Thanks, TheDivine.

For an honorable mention, I'll name the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They're superheroes, right?

*grumble grumble* Donatello did all the work and saved their tails, at least early on. *grumble grumble*

Nah, I'm j/k. I like all of 'em.

Yeah, same here; I might actually be getting a Tablet this year. I've got my eye set on a fairly low price one, but I'm not sure if it's good enough.

The Guardian Forces were kinda neat. Takes ya back to FFVI in a way. And it was easy to become really powerful really fast in both of those games (good and bad thing, really).

Junctioning, though, forget it. Same for Drawing. Just give me Materia back.

ZX / Re: We're you expecting serpent to come back ?
« on: December 08, 2008, 08:09:36 PM »
Serpent? Ha, yeah, right.

Serpent was a businessman and former...archaeologist? Explorer? Scientist? Anyway, none of those categories are battle-hardened, much less enough to withstand the centuries-tempered might of the X-Buster.

Eh? Ah, well, I don't mind retelling the story.

HyperSonic - Really, what else would this apply to? It's Sonic's (canon) most powerful form, wherein he can travel at the speed of light (though only in bursts; can't sustain it). While it's not complete control of time, I think invincibility and lightspeed travel mostly make up for the difference.

.EXE - I have to say, while the series lasted, I enjoyed Megaman Battle Network. 1, 2, and 3 made very nice navigational and gameplay analogies out of common Internet terms, and only wish they had continued to do so in 4, 5, and 6. Even so, the Card Battling got me out of my usual Platformers and RPGs-only shell, a nice refreshing change of pace (and picked me up after Yu-Gi-Oh! and the Pokemon TCG failed to be fun).

*BONUS*
Tails - Along with Sonic, I've always been a pretty decent fan of Tails. Sadly he gets trounced on for not being manly. Regardless, though, he can fly, invents stuff outta nowhere, and manages to keep the Sonic series simple and fun when every other character would only complicate it and make it "rival" or "darkness" oriented. Also, the ladies like him as well, so it was a fun persona to have there, for a while. It's like I could (almost) get away with anything. Not that I'd do anything evil. :3

I'd start up a "What Manga do you currently have?" thread on the Anime & Manga subforum, 'cept I don't own any, myself. I pass up issue 6 of the MMBN series every time I'm at Barnes and Noble, even though it's got Bass.EXE's origin story in it.
