I remember KOing the entire RBY Elite Four with Articuno, particularly Ice Beam.

Then, Houndoom's Crunch, Solarbeam, and Flamethrower started kicking tail, especially Crunch against the ever-feared Mewtwo and Mew.

Zapdos and Thunder Wave. Can't forget Steel Wing.

Are ya kiddin' me? I might actually get this!

You'd better believe I'm going to use PokeSav or something, though, so I don't have to mess with those complicated underlier stats.

Yesterday during the second round of Graduation Party-ing, we all smoked TMNTIV:TiT on Hard without using even one continue. My buds were on "00" for lives, but I was pummeling Super Shredder, then, SLAMMED the Special Attack button for the last hit, he goes down!

**** YEAH!

You censor one avenue of material. Or a few.

There are hundreds of other ways that that material can and will get through.

1306
We only got Fire Red and Leaf Green, nothing on either the Blue (technical, I know) or Yellow versions; even though this is only their second time to do remakes, and considering this will probably already have a number of D/P's features, I seriously doubt there will be a Crystal remake.

1307
Ah, yes, back when they made good Pokemon designs.

Between Megaman 9, Kirby Superstar Ultra, TMNTIVHD, and now PKMN G/S remakes, the developers in the industry should remember how to make a good game by now.

What does he mean by it'd be a secret we'd hate? Is it some sort of trap or enemy?

Comment from the YouTube video:
Quote
i filmed this for gamervision.

1. it was a little kid playing (painfully obvious)
2. it's a port of the ARCADE version, not the SNES one.
3. the reps there said release is "around september"
4. coming out for XBLA and wii. they didn't mention anything about PS3.
5. SAME music as the arcade version. at least it was in this alpha.

So in the Alpha build, it has the same music as the arcade; that means nothing, that could easily change.

Yeah, it's definitely built off the arcade version; look, Bebop and Rocksteady aren't the boss(es) of Skull and Crossbones.

There's no Dragon Quest because DQ9 and DQX were already announced and DG6:DS is on its way too.

Exactly.
...wait, DQX? I heard about how IX was going to be for the DS, but they already announced X?! Good grief.

News and Announcements / Re: Protodude's Ramblings: Megamix Returns

Ah, so that's what happened to the old Items; Dr. Light gave them to Protoman.

...or did Protoman take them?

1312
They don't like Metroid either it seems.

DAMN THEM

Honestly, though, you can stick a fork in the story because it's more or less done (even though there are still options; we've discussed them on this board at length), the Primes were generally good but nothing outstanding, and people are seeing the 2D games for the backtracking, Power-Bombing, snorefests that they were.

It's why MMX didn't get more votes; another Metroid game would probably be as 'meh' as every other recent game just like X9 might be 'meh' to terrible. Metroid needs a gameplay revamp, and MMX needs to ditch Ride Chasers and Rankings.

well, there's no question more FF games will come out. for every game on the list, sequels and threequels aren't so certain.

Yes, that's true; no Dragon Quest on here, either. Now, if only it meant things that well for Starfox. ;O;

1313
Okami and Shenmue?

Nuh-uh; the $$$ numbers don't reflect how supposedly "badly" people want a sequel to a game. Remember, this is just from a Famitsu survey.

That said, considering all the franchises on that list, it's good to see Mega Man X on there, and no trace of a Final Fantasy. Legends...well, you know my take on that.

I don't think I've ever played the arcade version. If it's a little harder and shorter, then I'm not complaining.

Besides, if you're ever in a bind, all ya gotta do is start slamming a Foot Soldier left and right for funky screen clearage! /wii

Rockman Series / Re: The way you play Mega Man games

If I can charge, I hold that button down at all times.

L for sliding and dashing.

Boss door, usually jumping and shooting. If it's X, Z, or ZX, I'll try dash or air dash and do fancy stuff. I've even gone backwards, wall-clinging through a door.

Youre right, Aldo. I guess he'll just smack it into his face.

Let osmosis take care of the rest of the work, eh?

1317
how is he going to eat that riceball?

It's not for him, silly! It's for the frog on top of his head!

Eh, didn't have much else I felt like doing, so I finished snagging **'s on the Leaf and Lightning 150cc Cups of Mario Kart Wii.

That, of course, unlocked Mirror Mode.

« on: May 02, 2009, 07:09:38 AM »
Not a glitch, per se, but if you're near a Bonus Stage ring and goalpost in S3&K as Hyper Sonic and you double-jump at it, you automatically enter the Bonus Stage; you don't see a flash of light, or Hyper Sonic moving, or anything.

Hyper Sonic can travel at the speed of light. Only explanation.

Which would make sense, given the recent release of the TMNT Arcade Game on XBLA, but no word on TMNT3: Manhattan Project. For a reason.

That said, maybe the XBLA version is the arcade one remade, and the Wii version would be the SNES remade? I dunno.
