Bayside just weathered a storm.
Tree limbs had fallen almost everywhere. One was unfortunate enough to land on the trunk of someone's car.
The power lines next to the middle school (it must be like only several meters/yards away from where I live) caught fire, and are shooting out sparks like crazy. It looks like there's something melting off them, and the ground below has these weird fires.
Power lines attached to my house almost were snapped. A branch landed on them, but they're still intact, thankfully (daddy's pickup was directly under those lines).
All in all, no one here has seen anything like this in a long time, so it's a bit hellish for us.

"Borges" I have no idea. Maybe "boar-gez"... or is the "g" pronounced with a breathy "h"?
"Da Gama" looks fairly self-explanatory.
It doesn't help at all that I've never heard Portuguese being spoken or read (well except for that one time I saw that Portuguese man rant about Twilight, but there was no Portuguese text to accompany his diatribe).
