The nuke failed to go off and Spectro was hit with the entirety of the meteor swarm. He was pummeled, and left almost lifeless on the battleground.

[Well, it was destroyed. And there is a chip that does the meteor swarm; it's called Meteors. There is no such chip for a Nuke that I know of.]

[[I know you were using a chip; Spectro.EXE wasn't. He can't use chips by virtue of the fact the he is without an operator.]]

Spectro regained his composure, and saw that the arena was naw a giant void, except for where he was standing.

"Where did everything go?"

Spectro looked up and saw a swarm of meteors heading his way. He readied a nuke and fired upward, which would hopefully stop the meteor.

Crux poised himself to land on his feet, but Mirror Knight fired a sonic boom at him. The attack had pushed him back, and Crux landed on his back. He bounced back onto his feet, and thrust his arm forward, which extended toward Mirror Knight, and long thorns had protruded from all over the arm.

"Ohh [tornado fang]!" The sword landed just next to Crux's [Moxa's] head. He sprung himself up into the air with all fours.

Rankine [Violet] uploaded the Fulgur chip. "Goddamn illusions. I wasn't expecting that."

Crux [Moxa] thrust his arm upward and a bolt of lightning shot up from his hand, and struck the ground below him.

The light from the flash bomb faded, and WombatMan came spinning at Spectro at an astronomical speed. He took a direct hit to the gut, and was knocked back with a rapid spin. He rolled to a stop on the floor.

"Oh, god... I feel... URK."

Spectro got up on his feet, barely able to maintain his footing. He started to stumble around and began to fire a laser in circles. "THIS IS FUUUUUUN!"

Mirror Knight charged at Crux. Immediately, Crux shot out vines from his arm to restrain him, but he disappeared. "What the?"

"Crux, he must be coming in from another direction. Duck!"

Crux fell to the floor and rolled off to the side, just in case Mirror Knight was coming from above.

Spectro thought that he had gotten WombatMan with his missiles, but as soon as the smoke cleared, the navi was nowhere in sight. Then,  WombatMan came from the ground and struck him under. Spectro went flying upward, and WombatMan had landed on a mine in the meantime.

"Ha ha! I got ya! I GOT--"

Spectro landed on his back with a loud thud. He got back up on his feet and fired another flash bomb. This time, he followed it with an energy bomb.

Meanwhile, Rankine and Crux got ready for their battle.

"Wow, I guess he ain't called the mirror knight for nothing." Crux rubbed his chin. "You know, something about this Mirror Knight is making me anxious."

"The mirrors?"

"Yeah. I'm afraid that the mirrors might involve reflecting attacks back to his opponent."

"We'll figure something out. Mirrors can't reflect everything."

The blinding light had dissipated, and Spectro saw that a Giga Cannon was aimed straight at his face. Before he could do anything, it was fired, and Spectro took the brunt of the attack. He was knocked back a considerable distance, but had managed to fire a few missiles at WombatMan before landing face down on the floor. He got up and immediately started to zip around the battlefield again, this time, planting a few mines.

Spectro may not have been the most skilled of battlers, but he was unusually resilient. Being shot in the face may have knocked him back, but would do little to damage him.

As soon as his dummies were set up, the had all been cut down. Spectro was waiting at a corner, and gasped at the revelation. He aimed at WombatMan and fired a flash bomb. The bomb went off with a bright light and ran toward his opponent.

It seemed that WombatMan wasn't one to go easy on fresh acquaintances, so he wouldn't have to worry about going all out on him, although the "slice 'n dice, snap 'n trap" right before a net battle was a little unnerving.

The signal was given to begin, and Spectro became a blur, setting up dummies all over the arena, all made rouhly in his likeness.

Spectro waited in the arena, and saw WombatMan jacking in. This was indeed the same navi he saw in that last incident. He had his bazooka ready.

"Hello, there. It's been a while."

"Stop making bad jokes and get ready." Rankine jacked Crux into the arena.

Rankine inserted 100 Zenny into the registraion machine.

"All right. Name: Violet L. Navi: Moxa Ray. Aaand... done. Now, for Spectro..." Rankine inserted another 100 Zenny and registered Spectro as an independent navi.

Crux, now with his disguise donned, was barely recognizable. He was wrapped in vines intead of the usual mummy bandages, and had glowing flowers on each of his shoulders and on top of his head. "Cool. Let's do this thing."
