Roleplay / Re: RPMVania

The boy and his ancient-demon-imprisoned-in-a-claw arrived at the front gate of the castle. Surprisingly, it was unlocked, and they managed to wander straight in.

"Ooh, very Gothic," smiled the boy, admiring the entrance hall, "So where's this Dracula guy going to be?"

"Presumably in the deepest, darkest sanctum of this bastion of the macabre, you prating knave. It will be a long and arduous battle to reach the Prince of Darkness, I assure you."

"I thought the Prince of Darkness was Satan."

"SILENCE! Nobody asked you for your opinion!"

The boy sat down on an antique chair and waited there. "Isn't anybody going to show up and escort us somewhere?"

Not far from outside the castle, a young man was standing by himself and gazing idly at the ominous structure that had materialised before him. He was a peculiar-looking lad: blue tuxedo, flat blue hat, blue hair - he was quite partial to the colour blue - with a white streak on his fringe and a large metal claw in place of his left hand. The claw had a sinister eye peering out of its back. It looked at the castle, then back to the young man.

"What is the meaning of this, boy?" a demonic voice asked, seemingly coming from the claw.

"Looks like trouble," said the boy. He flicked at his fringe, briefly revealing a pale eye with a cross-shaped scar over it.

"Of course it's trouble," snapped the claw, "That's the castle of Vlad Tepes Dracula!"

The boy blinked.

"The Lord of the Night, Count of Demons?"

Still nothing.

"By the infernal abyss, how did I ever end up with someone like you? At any rate, I propose we explore the dread fortress. Perhaps if I'm lucky, I'll find some way to escape this damned prison and retrieve my physical body."

Thus, the two headed towards the castle, unaware of what dangers lay in store.

[I'm not sure who I should be, a vampire hunter or a monster. If needs be, I wouldn't mind being Laura, Malachi/Cthulhu or...something else.]

Yeah, a separate topic would be good I guess. I was also thinking of doing an RPM EXE, would anyone join that?

Oh yes.

I want to be a well-dressed young man with a cool hat, scarf and a snarky demon that lives inside of me that manifests itself as a huge metal claw.

Elsewhere, Ronald McGigyas had set up the first RPM McGiygas's restaurant.

Oh come on, we're just screwing around while we're waiting for someone to do something.

Unless you want me to do something...

And yea, did Ronald McGiygas and Haruhi Suzumiya battle! A most epic duel between two cosmic horrors!

Lucky frantically looked through a bundle of sheets. "This isn't in the script!" He paused, blinked, and looked at the sheets. "Why do I even have a script?!"

And then, from an interdimensional portal, came a horror beyond all mortal comprehension. 'Twas Ronald McGiygas, come to lay waste to all creation!

Thanks, Nova, my ego needed that kicking.

Don't worry too much about characterisation or trying to write like a Poet Laureat, Waltz, just enjoy writing the story. If you're having fun with it, it shouldn't be too hard at all. Let the story and the personalities of your characters flow through you. Let the story take you places. Enjoying it is the most important thing.

That's one of the things I don't like about that show, the way it discounts other mythoses as having their own reality. [tornado fang] that. The way I see it, unless it has no fourth wall, a mythos is still real in itself.

Someone write a show where the characters sit and watch Lucky Star all day.

Unless that already exists and I've missed it.

Of course!

Incidentally, I had the idea a while ago to write up a summary of an RPM/Advance Wars parody, but I didn't bother. So yeah.
