"Anger? Embarassment? You shame me...I am a man of honour and manners," huffed Deathwatch.

This poem is dedicated to a friend of mine - or, more aptly, a friend of a friend - who has been through a few hardships in her life. She was tragically abused by her father as a child, but she overcame that trauma to become a strong and healthy young woman. She's a very nice person, and I think she deserves a lot more than just this poem.

No, I'm not making this up.

RPM Fotress will be back...whenever I feel like it. =P

"The coil of mortality, physical ailments, disease, sleep, mental probing, confusion," listed Deathwatch, "The standard traits of an undead phantom."

the only thing I can say to help is I've always always always been told to only draw for yourself.  Don't draw with hopes of money or attention, jus draw for your own enjoyment and fun, if things come about as a result then that's otay too.   Don't know if that actual helps though o.o

Actually, this is probably the best advice I've ever heard on drawing. So very true. Unless you want to become an illustrator or something like that, drawing should be a hobby, not an obigation.

"A most interesting tactic," Deathatch mused. He twirled his blade around and stopped in mid-air. "But you forget that I can float...gravity does not bind me."

While time was slowed to a crawl, Deathwatch sliced at Mania, taking advantage of the added momentum and force from the slow-motion swing.

In my humble opinion, the golden rule of drawing is to experiment and find your own style; you can draw stunning works of art and impress the masses with a style that everybody knows and likes, but the way I see it, a little doodle in your own unique style is just as nice. Maybe not as popular or aesthetically appealing, but a self-drawn, self-styled picture just has that unique little charm. I occasionally look at tutorials, but often they just don't suit me, so I just take the basic hints from them and work from there. If you're still a "beginner", it's okay to trace or "copy" other images, but remember that this will do you no real good in the long run - you have to learn to draw by yourself. Also, don't worry if your work looks crap at first; everybody who likes to draw, myself included - heck, myself especially - will most likely have a stash of older drawings they aren't very fond of. As you improve, try looking back at your older work and see how much you've improved, then strive to improve further.

Short version: start simple and develop your own style as you go. Practice really does make perfect.

[OOC: It's a little complex...just assume that time is flowing normally, except for Mania and Deathwatch; to them, everything - themselves included - is moving at a snail's space. It is, of course, only temporary.]

AfroMania was caught off guard and barely dodged the swing, falling backwards he quickly flipped backwards on his hands and landed...

Mania: My your one tough bastard...Looks like I'll be able to enjoy this fight. *he reroutes the aura from his hands into his index and middle finger on both hands and aims at DeathWatch* Let's see how quick you can be. *fires a dual blast of thin, intense, aura energy beams*

The beam pierced straight through Deathwatch's cloak, leaving a thin, smoking hole; fortunately for him, he had no actual body to speak of, so he didn't feel a thing. That wasn't to say he was pleased, though. He was quite irate at his cloak being damaged.

"Inconsiderate wretch," the phantom snarled, thrusting his hand out. The flow of time, to Mania, slowed to a crawl. "Time waits for no man, as my...idiot grandson would say."

Meanwhile, in Blackmore's Flying Castle, Aeon sneezed. "Oh, man. Wonder what that's about?"

"Aeon, be a good little grunt and shut up," said Blackmore impatiently, "This is simply disgraceful. It seems that nobody respects true evil anymore unless it has a pretty face and a charismatic smile to go with it...things were different in my day, yessir. It seems as though the good old days of slaughter and terror have gone, though..." He sighed. "Being a villain used to mean something..."

Deathwatch lurched forward, but wasn't badly injured by the blow. He swerved around, swinging his scythe in a horizontal arc.

"What a bastard," muttered Aeon.

"Shush, you." Blackmore smiled and tugged the brim of his hat over his eyes, smiling. He would never say this in Roa's presence. "A bastard he may be, but...he is a true villain, yessir."

Blackmore couldn't help but laughing out loud.

"Five hundred years, hmm? I've existed for milleniae, yessir. Come back in about four-thousand-five-hundred years, and maybe I'll treat you like an adult. And my boy, I am from from alive...cutting lines, like a preschooler during art class? You are gravely mistaken if you believe I am still a feeble human, Michael. I am so much more that that, yessir. I am darkness itself, the shadow lurking in the corner...that which men fear the most."

He became altogether more serious as Roa asked him the question.

"I don't wish for anything. Any dreams I once had died when I turned into who I am now. I have no wishes, but I do want one thing. One simple thing, my boy. I just want to watch the world burn. These filthy humans, with their hopes and dreams...it disgusts me, yessir. There is no God listening to them; their cries are just whispers in a vast, uncaring universe. There is no light at the end of the tunnel, no silver lining, no shining glimmer of justice, shining forth from a sea of cruelty. People are, by simple definition, cruel and evil. I am no different, but at least I have accepted that I am irrevocably malevolent. But these humans, with their laws and regulations...just a pale fascimile of organisation, a vain attempt at molly-coddling their bretheren into ignoring the strings being pulled by the higher-ups! It's utterly revolting, revolting, yessir. I see no need for any of it. Rules should be abolished. Anarchy, that's the way to go, yessir. Sheer chaos, primordial unrest, as it was in the beginning, and as it always has been...as it should be! Chaos doesn't show bias, it doesn't take sides...it is what it is, a simple, undeniable fact of life!

So, Roa, that's what I want...what I wish for, if you much use such a base, human label for it. Chaos. I want chaos. I want everything to crumble, to show how utterly pointless everything is. And after the hopes and dreams of these pathetic humans lie in ruins, I want to stand on top of the smoldering wreckage...and smile.
"

Aeon snapped his fingers and stopped time, then slipped out of Roa's grasp and rolled over to Blackmore's side.

"You amuse me, Roa. You really do. You're still desperately clinging onto whatever power you have left, even though you're just a fraction of your former self." He laughed to himself. "It's funny, my dear Roa...you and I are so alike in so many ways. And yet, even as you are, you're still just a bratty little child compared to me."

"That wasn't a request," said Blackmore nonchalantly, driving his metal heel over Roa's head. "Skip the biological lectures, Roa, and get on your hands and feet!"
