Cartoonish style yeah! There is a tutorial about how to make your own style. Here's the link: http://imaginetheending.deviantart.com/art/How-To-Draw-Your-Own-Style-84102870
Cool stuff. n_n I'll look into that, seems very helpful.

What's kind of funny, though, is that my style has "regressed" as much as it has "evolved". When I was younger, I used to draw all of my characters in  a very cartoonish way: round heads, funny googly eyes, lack of detail and facial features, and proportions that weren't too different from a stick figure. Then I went through a sort of "realism" phase, wherein my drawings had more realistic proportions and were heavily influenced by anime. Then, somewhat recently, I was doodling one of my characters - I drew him in a very stylised, warped, skewed style. And I thought, "Hey, I really like this style." So I doodled another few characters like that - even a very evil, dark character - and found it was easier and a little more fun than trying to draw proper proportions. So I chose a compromise: a wacky, cartoonish style that has a noticeable anime/manga-ish influence. This works especially well for some of my characters, e.g. Skullivan, who's meant to be a tall, skinny, Tim Burton-esque fellow.

That explanation took longer than I thought it would. XD Still, I think it's interesting to look at other peoples' styles, even - hell, especially - some of the people here at RPM. There's some awesome artists here.

Pretty normal. I ate a piece of paper in Irish class for a chuckle. Got a good reaction from the girl in front of me.

My throat was dry and scratchy for a couple of hours afterwards, though. I don't reccomend eating paper.

"*sigh* Its hard to make your own style."
True that, but I also think it's quite fun. Recently, my style has taken a turn for the warped, with bizarre, often exaggerated features, bendy limbs and cartoonish proportions. It fits better with my penchant for silliness.

Aeon glanced at Nick, who had tears flowing down his face and a smile on his face.

"You wimp."

"Tender tears, Aeon," said Nick, "Guys can cry too...guys can cry too."

I don't know how many people are actually going to bother reading this, but I'm gonna post it anyway to get opinions on it. This is the story I believe I've mentioned before, which I've had on the backburner for a while. I hope to actually complete this and, if possible, have it be a novel-length story.

The very, very basic summary of the plot: it's an adventure/Western set in a fantasy world that's very similar to the Old West, following Eli Faust, a gunslinger who's searching for a stranger he has a violent vengeance against. He's joined by a mechanic-savvy teenage girl and a badass priest with a big gun, on his quest to slay the remaining members of a corrupt Sacred Order and take his revenge. Religious symbolism, bloody gunfights, Knight Templar-esque mysteries, what it is to be an outsider and the ethics of killing for a purpose are all central themes.

But you get to read chapter two. Why? I don't really know. It's just a random taster.

Also: if you're reading this, PLEASE post your opinion or any comments you may have. I'd love to hear what you think.

Enjoy.

I'm currently (re)reading Terry Pratchett's Monstrous Regiment. I got it a few years ago, got halfway through and got bored. Reading it again, I can appreciate the humour a lot more. It's a very good book. I'd reccomend it to fans of political satire.

The Offspring - "Trust In You"

One of my favourites of theirs, though I really like that entire album anyway (and the band as a whole).

Blackmore couldn't help but smile. It was a placid smile, though, a much friendlier expression than his usual macabre grin. He was a villain of classical tastes; classic literature, vintage theatre, an eloquent vocabulary and a nice glass of Chianti were his repetoire. Well, that and a big sword, but the latter was only for when his sinister suavenes didn't procure the desired effect. He, indeed, enjoyed a good wedding; although the "holy" part of "holy matrimony" did yank his proverbial chain a tad. He mouthed the words "I do" as a sort of silent verbal prompt - if any were needed, though it was more for himself than the groom.

Deathwatch, like his master, was equally silent yet quietly impressed. Aeon was trying hard not to fall asleep in his seat, though a regular nudge of the elbow from Nick helped in that respect.

Also, something I did a little while ago. It's a sprite of my brother's JoJo Stand, Pretty Fly For A White Guy (he's an Offspring uber-fan).

Anybody wanna volunteer to read some of my story? It's something I've been working on for a while now; a fantasy/action/adventure/Western, to be precise.

It has guns...

And the heavens shone with an awesome glow;
And the angels sang out in immaculate harmony;
And the clouds parted from above;
And God saw this, and it was good;
And He held His thumb upwards;
And He declared, "I'm cool with this!"

Thankfully, I care little about what other fans think, and more about my own personal enjoyment!   8)

Yeah, this.

Blackmore, smiling, placed his sharp fingers into a steepled pose and thrust a glance at RMZX.

"Make her happy, my boy...yessir."

The E-Wing landed outside, and Nick leapt out. He hurried into the chapel and took his seat beside Aeon. The blonde-haired assassin gave the blue-haird explorer a viscious glare, to which Nick just smiled wryly.

*Thumbs up*

Okay, imagine that thumbs up, but with a hand the size of King Kong's. Yyyyyyyyyyyyeaaaaaaaaaaaah~

Blackmore took his seat inside the chapel, ensuring he got a good seat close to the altar. Aeon sauntered down the row and sat beside him, and even Deathwatch took his seat - despite any physical legs to speak of.

"This should be most interesting," mused Blackmore, stroking his chin with a metallic claw. He gazed across the chapel at the other guests. "Though I do hope the groom shows up rather soon. I tend to grow a little...impatient."

Aeon was just leaning back in his seat, tossing a knife into the air and catching it to idly wear away the time. He found services like these to altogether quite dull, and he didn't even want to risk staring at Kallen's cleavage anymore. His mind instead drifted to thoughts of scantily-clad women, oceans of money and fantasies of world domination.

Deathwatch, however, had chosen to take this opportunity to let his mind and soul relax. Scythe lying across his lap and eyes seemingly shut, he allowed his weary self to drift into a trace-like state of meditation.

Nick, by this point, had grown tired of waiting.

"Okay, I guess asking nicely to leave isn't going to work, so..." He stepped back and whistled loudly. The back wall of the cell crumbled as his trusty E-Wing smashed through the outside of the DAW. "C'mon, Prince, we're blowing this taco stand!"

1873
Hoo yeah! Now it's a party...or more so than it already was. I imagine Sapph's armour would be handy for those grenade-flinging mishaps. =P

Hmmmmm...Sniper Lazy, eh? Well, since we're both writers, we should be able to find a common understanding of one another and hence team up to blow the heads off twice as many people!

...But shooting eachother is more fun~

"A sharp one, I see," said Blackmore, placing his arm around Kallen smoothly and undeniably disturbingly. There was just something downright creepy about having a sharp metal hand placed on your shoulder, while its owner stared at you with a grin that never seemed to fade. Aeon would have said something, but he was too busy staring at Kallen's admittedly huge...tracts of land.

To be perfectly honest, I vas just a little disappointed at "Caress of Dess". I mean, it vas little more zan a shot from a laser rifle. But ze character himself is awesome, vich makes up for it.

Ze uzzer ideas intrigue me, ja, especially since I am ze fan of ze Disgaea series.

...Und you still need to draw me Airnigma und Metalpatch.
