"Excuse me," said Nick. He managed to squeeze his way into the anImate building, trying to find Mint amidst the brouhaha, preferably before she got competitive and punched someone into the stratosphere. He didn't know how it felt to have a seven hundred page cook-book thrown against his face when he went in. He did now.

In an attempt to make small talk, Aeon adressed Deathwatch. "So. You're a ghost, huh?"

"Not a ghost, per se," replied Deathwatch, expertly polishing his scythe, "A phantom; a spirit; the soul of an aged man, kept alive within a black cowl and skeletal torso. It's quite different."

"I do have a sense of humour, yessir. Deathwatch, yessir. Hyeheheheheh."

"Another thing," said Aeon, "Why do you always say 'yessir'? It's freaking creepy."

"Verbal tic, yessir. It's a character trait, yessir; comes with the job. Just like you and Deathwatch's time-warping abilities and penchant for bladed objects, yessir."

"...I guess genre saviness comes with the package too?" asked Aeon.

"Correct, yessir."

Nick browsed through the leaflet; once or twice his eyebrows raised in interest, but ultimately, he handed the leaflet back to Strange.

"Sounds fun, but I'm afraid I won't be partaking. Although I might know someone who..." He was cut off as Mint Mewly, leaflets in her hands, trampled straight over him and scurried inside the door. As Nick got back to his feet, he fixed his shades, brushed his jacket and shooed away the little birdies fluttering around his head. "Never mind. Looks like she's already here."

"Where're we going, anyway?"

"Just keep flying, my boy. I'll tell you when we get there, yessir."

Aeon grumbled obscenities under his breath, wondering how he was once again wrangled into helping Blackmore with his latest crazy scheme. But the promise of a reward was too great for him to say no to, and he now found himself flying his airship, the Zeitschiff, to wherever it was Blackmore wanted him to go. Never mind that he was being paid in Oreo cheesecake.

Nick gave a little smile. "Just call me Nick. I'm, er, just following Blackmore again...I think he's up to no good again. So I'm making sure he doesn't get too cocky." He flicked his bangs. "How are you, though?"

Enigma was still chasing after Blackmore, but due to the E-Wing having to be docked for refuelling and repairs, he had to follow his arch-enemy on foot. As he sprinted down the streets of RPM, he noticed a familiar figure re-arriving.

"Hey!" he said, screeching to a halt, "I know you! It's StrangeMan, right?"

I like it, personally. =3 Though I do like colourful art, so I may be a wee bit biased.

I can't really offer C+C myself, since my style is vastly different and probably full of what people would call "little mistakes". I admire people who draw in their own way, especially if they can draw without the help of this new-fangled technomological jibber-jabberings.

Last year, I went as the Hitcher from The Mighty Boosh (kudos to anyone who knows what I'm talking about).

This year? I'm really not sure. I have a few ideas (Itsuki Koizumi, Shino Aburame, Dr. Peace, Noriaki Kakyoin and Hol Horse come to mind), but I guess I'll have to have a think about it.

I'm sure people thought a first-person Metroid would flop. They were wrong, though~

I'm remaining objective. I don't have a 360, though, so if it goes the way of Halo, it won't make any odds to me. =P

"You talk too much as always I see." Roa commented idly, appearing beside Blackmore and Deathwatch. "I assure you, to go forth with such an ambition shall leave you with nothing but despair. The curtain fall shall be on the remains of your body, after I destroy you in the final act."

Blackmore cackled gleefully. "Why, Roa, is that a challenge? I assure you that I'm not afraid. And with that, I bid you adieu. I have much to be doing."

Aeon guzzled the rest of the sherry, then smashed the bottle over the table and wiped his mouth.

"You guys all suck," he said, "Just pointing that out." He then skewered a couple of stuffed banana leaves on one of his knives and ate them.

Nick, after downing five kegs of bubblegum soda, noticed the happy couple had left. "Oh, I guess the wedding's over, huh?"

"It would appear to be so, young man, said Blackmore, pulling down the brim of his hat. "Come, Deathwatch. There is much to be done, yessir!"

"I beg your pardon, my lord?"

Blackmore's smirk grew into a wide, viscious grin. "Well, we can't let dear Roa have all the fun, can we? No, my loyal confidant, I think it's time we showed this world what we are capable of, yessir."

Deathwatch glowered. "I was inclined to believe that you had given up on your plans of world conquest."

"Who said anything about conquest? No, no, Deathwatch, such a thing would be fundamentally futile, and a waste of our good time, yessir. We are going to leave an impression on this world, a mark that will not soon be forgotten. This world is our stage, yessir, and I intend to write a chapter that our audience shan't soon forget! Hyahahahahahaha!"

Blackmore sipped the last of his Chianti and turned to Deathwatch.

"It would appear that our dear friend Roa is trying to steal the spotlight, as it were."

"Shall I fetch the castle, sir?"

"Oh, don't bother. I want to see what the old boy does with this newfound power of his!"

Nick, having heaved another keg in, proceeded to guzzle the bubblegum soda like crazy.

[OOC: Oh, right. Sorry. My mistake.]

After calming down, Nick grabbed the empty keg and went back to refill it. Aeon, grumbling something under his breath, grabbed another bottle of sherry and decided to get drunk again.

Aeon pulled his foot out of the way and glared at Silan. "Yeah, like I'd work for a [sonic slicer] like you."

"Dull? On the contrary, my boy, I find them to be quite amusing!" Blackmore laughed and put his hand on Roa's shoulder like they were buddy-buddy, and took a sip of his wine. "Sit down and have a drink, my boy. Enjoy the party, why don't you?"
