I stayed at my grandparents' house, ate caviar and Pringles, and discussed Stalin's Communist regime.

No trick-or-treaters at all.

I [tornado fang]ing love my grandparents.

Rousseau believed humans are, fundamentally, good and noble beings; we do what we believe is right because it promotes happiness, not because we are told to. We make mistakes, but that is natural, and it helps us learn. He believed we are inherently good people, but some of us lose it along the way. No-one believes they are truly evil or do evil for the sake of it, unless they are mentally insane, in which case they are not in full control of themselves. According to him, a utopia can be achieved if everyone acknowledges their inherent love and generosity.

Hobbes believed humans are, by definition, cruel, greedy and evil beings; we do things that will be of benefit to ourselves, and only do good if we can achieve something from it. We make mistakes because we do not care for others. He believed we are inherently selfish people, and that there is no such thing as true goodness, just a label to boost one's ego. According to him, a utopia cannot be achieved, because people are untrustworthy and incapable of compassion and friendship.

I believe in the fomer.

I am an idealist.

I'd like my name to be changed to Lucky Star for the time being.

And now I'll wait for the unnecessary tirade of anime references...

I'd be Lord Blackmore. A genre savvy Magnificent Bastard with a fancy hat and flying castle.

After escaping the store, Aeon fled back to his Zeitschiff, where Enigma and Mint were still tied up. Aeon hurriedly started up the engine and took off to the sky.

"Where're we going, mister?" asked Mint, fiddling with the ropes binding her hands behind her back.

"Outta here for the time being," said Aeon, "I'm sick of that Blackmore guy treating me like a chump. I'm gonna scheme up something so amazingly awesome, they won't know what hit 'em!"

"So, basically, we're stepping out of the action for a while to let some other characters take over instead?" said Enigma.

"Yeah...pretty much," said Aeon. Enigma nodded.

"Fair enough, I guess."

A pair of strangers had just rolled into RPM City. Where did they come from? Well, different places, actually. But they had both come here for something. They each sought something important to them; and where better to look than the wonderfully absurd land of RPM?

The first was a man dressed in a stylish purple-blue, almost indigo, outfit with a gold trim; he wore a theatrical white mask over his eyes, and a narrow cape fluttered behind him elegantly. With his fancy tuxedo, utility belt, theatrical appearance and colourful outfit, he seemed like a mysterious yet charming fellow.

The other was a woman, a maid who looked to be in her early twenties. She had long, light-purple hair, with a number of small bangs on her fringe and a larger tuft of hair that jumped out from her fringe and hung limply at the tip. Her expression was blank and emotionless, and her apathetic half-closed eyes gave her a look of nonchalant ennui. However, there was something a little...strange...about her. If one were to carefully examine her, they might notice the vertical lines beneath her eyes, antennae-like earpiece and screws connecting her joints together. She was, indeed, a robot.

The two looked at eachother. Sensing the commotion near the anImate building, they quickly made their way down there.

Blackmore stepped back and smiled.

"Lord, what fools these mortals be...yessir. Hyeheheheh."

[OOC: Oh, I know, but the only "solid" parts of Blackmore are his hat, cape, jacket, suit, gauntlers and boots; the latter two are made of metal. Hence, only his cape - which covers his suit - and proably his hat would go up in fire (but you really don't want to damage Blacky's hat...). Otherwise, he's just made of a dark, shadowdy substance and hence not strictly solid nor ignitable. =P]

"The proverbial nail has at last embedded itself in this young man's cranium, yessir."

Meanwhile, Aeon was pulling out vintage copies of DragonBall Z and slicing the pages out with his throwing knives. "Ah, nothin' like a bit of senseless vandalism to get the ol' blood a-pumpin'..."

Blackmore frowned as his cape went up in flames and...did nothing to bother him.

"You little estranged parentally-challenged lovechild. If you're going to light anyone on fire, I suggest it be Aeon. And do hurry, before he sticks a knife in all your lovely little books."

"No, purple hair!"

Aeon, sensing a challenge from Taiyo, skipped off to the retro section. Blackmore just sighed.

"Unintelligent as a flat section of carved timber, yessir."

Aeon turned and gave Tenmota a snide glare. "Hey, last time I tried something like this, I got trampled by five dozen manga nuts and ended up in hospital for a damn week. Took even longer for the feeling to return to my frickin' legs. Otaku can be pretty tetchy about this kinda stuff, toots."

"In the time I have lived, many a great civilisation has risen and fallen; mountains have rised and eroded; oceans filled and dried; grand forests grew and decayed. After five milleniae of sheer nothingness, I should say one is entitled to a bit of casual entertainment!"

"Ahhhh, I do love a good bit of senseless ravaging of other peoples' property," chimed Blackmore, eviscerated a number of shelves with his sword, Nightmare.

Blackmore smiled and snapped his fingers, sending a nearby bookshelf alight in a blaze of indigo flames

"Not quite sane? The boy is an idiot, dear Roa, a bona-fide imbecile. That's why I keep him around, yessir; he's stupid enough to put himself on the line for the sheer sake of doing evil. Deathwatch here follows my orders to the letter, but he does it out of loyalty and honour - Aeon just thinks it will make him "cool", yessir. It's almost amusing. If he were to hone his time-bending abilities, he could be an unbeatable opponent. But, no, instead he flitters along carelessly, bullying others and determining himself to make at least some semblance of an impression, yessir. I remember when I used to be smug and egotistical like him. Five thousand years trapped, alone, in another dimension made me think otherwise, yessir." Grinning his usual evil-Chesire-Cat grin, Blackmore stroked his chin. "Besides which, watching him make a fool of himself is always entertaining, yessir."

"Whatever," mumbled Aeon, stepping into the store. He glanced around at the usual madness, then smirked. "This should be fun."

Soon enough, the Zeitschiff returned and touched down outside the store. Aeon opened the hatch door and stepped out, followed by Blackmore and Deathwatch. He left Enigma and Mint where they were, tied up in the back of the passengers' hatch.

"Now," said Aeon, "Remind me what we're here for?"

"Wanton destruction, unnecessary violence, retail and property damage...that sort of thing, yessir."

I would very much like a pomato, good sir.

The problem is, I'm the problem. I want to write stories and draw and stuff, but I'm too damn slothful to finish the bloody things. I'm like a child with a new toy when it comes to a project: I'm engrossed at first, but a few days later I'm bored and want something else. It sucks, too, because I can't seem to shake it. It's my major vice. Try as I might, my sloth still haunts me. And then it makes me feel even more lousy knowing that nobody's ever gonna notice me for anything because I never DO ANYTHING to gain that recognition.

I know I'm not gonna kick this funk by moaning and whining and sulking in a corner. Somebody, gimme a hug and a good kick in the teeth.
