((Enter the Shining Symbol of Midnight Manliness! Elite 4 Sapphire Knight takes the stage!))

A man dressed in dark blue jeans, a lighter blue shirt, a dark blue leather jacket with shoulder spikes, matching biker helmet, a bright red scarf wrapped around his neck, and a broadsword strapped to his back floated quietly over Vermillion on the back of a honchkrow, investigating rumors of gym leaders abandoning their posts to travel. Of course, that was simply his reason for roaming. The specific reason he was in Vermillion was to pick up a special order of saltwater taffy. The best stuff always came from here.

"I know I'm supposed to be sitting around and waiting for challengers, but most don't make it past any of the first two anyway..." He grumbled, looking down at the city. "And with gym leaders passing the torch to their inexperienced underlings, none ever will." The man sighed, the large, black bird pokemon he was riding landing in front of the gym. Well, not in front of the gym as much as on top of it. He was a little odd like that. Though, that's when he heard something below.

"THE GYM LEADER DID WHAT!?"

This caught his attention. Peering over the edge of the building, the man watched a trainer leaving the gym and heading off down the street. "...Maybe this gym leader left his post too?" Something seemed familiar about the young woman that was off down the street, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. "The list of up-and-coming trainers that show promise, perhaps?" He decided to follow. Returning his honchkrow, he hopped along building tops to be a little less conspicuous.

However, following along on top of buildings wouldn't be practical for too long, as the young woman was off into the grassy fields. "Well, this could get awkward..." He grumbled, calling his honchkrow back out and taking to the sky to follow at a distance. A couple more minutes of stalking later, and the trainer had called out a pokemon and drew her own sword, ready to battle a trainer she had encountered. "Well, if nothing else, this should be interesting." He mused, crossing his arms and watching from a distance.

'Wasn't there something I was in Vermillion for specifically?'

That train of thought was instantly wrecked by what the red-haired trainer that the young woman encountered shouted.

"HAHAHAHA. WHO DARES TO CHALLENGE THE MIGHTY LT. PB!"

"Sonova... They really are skipping out on their duties..." The man grumbled. "I'll settle this after they're done fighting..."

((And, in this universe, Sapph is being a staaaaaaaalkeeeeerrrrrrrr... And was following Sakura.))

Sapph moved his hand from just resting on the hilt of his sword to grabbing it. "Alright, troops, stay frosty. I've got a bad feeling about this place..."

"You and me both." Impmon grumbled, bringing his 'scarf' over his nose. "With so much dust, it's amazing any of us can breathe in here."

V-mon and Agumon were covering their faces with both hands.

"You don't suppose this dust is flammable, do you?" Agumon asked, obviously worried about setting the place up in a blaze.

"Don't be ridiculous! Dust doesn't burn! Well, not normal dust...." V-mon responded pausing a moment before tapping Talyn's arm. "This is normal dust, right?"

((That reminds me, I need to get a full list of what Digimon Sapph has all written out. And probably even rip off other seasons of digimon for various effects, like the Xross Wars fusions for super epic digimon, or Adventure 02's digimentals for armor evoluton. Can't really do the Tamers biomerging, since Sapph's digimon made it clear that they don't get power from that bond of friendship.))

"Into one of those buildings?" Sapph repeated, very suspicious of Hajime's tone. Well, this wasn't someone he was too familiar with, so he subtly rested a hand on the hilt of his sword. His trio of digimon had caught the cue and were ready to fight. Granted, just being digimon, they were already set to fight anyway.

((Hmm... Well, there's Ifrit, Beowulf, and Gilgamesh from the Devil May Cry series, Ifrit being fire gauntlets from DMC 1, Beowulf being a set of light-element gauntlets and greaves from DMC 3, and Gilgamesh is gauntlets, greaves, back armor, and a mask all hooked together in some sort of apparatus.

((Another random thing I plan to eventually bring into this: The Seaven Shooter. If anyone remembers that comic jam I started, the Seaven Shooter was the device I was going to reveal to be the reason Vixy got split into the 7 Sins and Virtues after a malfunction. What it's supposed to do is just convert someone into a living embodiment of one of the sins or virtues, and revert them. Buuuuuut I think it may be a bit much, with how much else I'm doing with Sapph. =w=;; ))

"Truth of the matter is, I have far more than 3." Sapph said, flicking through the various areas listed on his DS to show many, many more digimon. "I can only have three out and about at a time." He explained, closing the DS and pocketing it again. "As for why I have so many, and a different digivice, is simple. I'm a tamer, not a chosen." He finished crossing his arms.

"As for the matter of our relationship." Impmon started, crossing his arms. "It's closer to General and Soldier, Boss and Employee, or Master and Loyal Servant then buddies."

This is when Agumon spoke up. "Though, in the case of us 3, we're closer to being Lieutenants."

"As we were the fist 3 to join him." V-mon finished.

Sapph nodded to their explanations. "Their strength comes from training, as opposed to a strong bond."

"That's what this is for." Sapph flipped open the 'DS' to so a view of a vacation resort on the top screen, and a list of areas on the bottom. Selecting the first area on the list changed the top screen's view to a room with 3 digimon in it: Paildramon, Pumpmon, and RiseGreymon, all of which were just lazing about, though Pumpmon was the first to realize anything.

"Oy! Sapph! Didja find a new place yet!?" The pumpkin-headed digimon called out, his voice coming through the DS's speakers. Apparently, he was aware of the destruction of Sapph's place.

"Not yet, but you guys should probably come out here." Sapph said, pressing something on the touch screen and closing the DS. A small beam of light travelled from the DS to the Digivice, which Sapph held out as in shone brightly, releasing a wide beam on the ground. The digivice released 3 figured into the world. 3... Rather small figures... Not much taller than HeatGabumon. A V-mon, an Impmon, and an Agumon. Apparently, they de-evolved on the transfer out of the DS.

Sapph sighed when Talyn brought up the loss of his armor. "It wasn't even that heavy... I just feel.... Naked without it..." At that, he quickly tightened his cloak around himself, as if to accentuate his meaning. That's when HeatGabumon brought up the possibility of being outnumbered. "The chances of that happening are very unlikely." He started, nodding. "The reason for that is I carry my own personal army on my person." Sapph fished around in his pockets before pulling 2 things out: a device that appeared to be a modified Nintendo DSiXL, and a digivice.

"You didn't think you were the only tamer on RPM, did you?"

((If we're talking about fun facts of personal possessions, I have a DSiXL and Digimon Story (aka Digimon World DS). Also, I've been planning and working on several Digimon-based projects. >3>;; ))

Sapph walked back over to Talyn, his cloths looking a bit brighter and smelling fresh, and with his cloak draped on his shoulder, revealing the light blue tank top, black cargo pants, and dark blue combat boots he was wearing, as well as how his sword was sheathed on his waist. "Alright, Talyn, I'm ready to go when you are."

Sapph looked at the variation of Gabumon that Talyn motioned to as they explained the proposition. "I know what a digimon is. Anyone that watched Fox Kids in the 90's would recognize the basics." He said, standing up and turning to Talyn. "Is there time for me to shower and get my stuff stored in a safe place first before we head out on this adventure?"
