Sapph drew his sword when the group was confronted by the slime golem on the ground. "Something tells me that this is going to actually be a tough battle that'll take more than just a-" He didn't get to finish his statement when the slime backhanded him into the collapsed/collapsing building.

"Whoa!" Wizarmon had to jump out of the way to not get sent into the building as well. "Damn. Can't go Perfect for this fight guys!" He grumbled, straightening up.

XV-mon rolled his arms and got ready. "Don't worry about Sapph, Miss, he's shaken off worse before he became the Sapphire Knight."

Sapph looked where Talyn pointed and nodded. "You heard her, guys, aim for the top of the dome!" He instructed, his digimon nodded and launching their attacks in a particular order.

Wizarmon was first, gathering a ball of lightning in his hand. "Thunder Cloud!" He threw the ball of lightning at the top of the dome as the next two attacks were launched.

XV-mon crossed his arms as the X on his chest started glowing. "X Laser!" He opened his arms and fired a golden, x-shaped laser from his chest.

Geo Greymon's turn. He took a deep breath and held it for a bit while his teammates launched their attacks. "Mega Burst!" He opened his mouth and fired a blast of white-hot flames.

All 3 attacks hit the top of the dome in the order they were fired.

Sapph sighed and put his helmet back on. "You two and your razzle-dazzle... Well, since I have nothing better to do until I get called back for the rare challenger, I'll follow you two around. Someone needs to keep you two down-to-Earth." He said, pulling a pokeball off his belt. "And don't think that just because my reason for following is to keep you two from floating away, don't think I can't match your shine!"

With that, he tossed the pokeball into the air. "Darkshine! Take the stage!" He called, a shiny umbreon bursting from the thrown pokeball and doing 3 forward flips before landing and making his blue bands shine brightly.

The pokemon of the 3 Team Legend grunts were taken down rather quickly from two attacks an a disable. "HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE!?! It was only two attack!" One of the grunts howled as they all returned their pokemon and fled. "This isn't the last you've seen of us, you punk!" They shouted, turnng a corner and vanishing, leaving behind, what appeared to be, a shiny rock with an L carved into it.

The Team Legend members were taken by surprise by Pyro's actions. "H-Hey! Get off!" The one that got their scarf grabbed by Pyro yanked it out of his grip. "No touch! This scarf is the symbol of the Exploring Division!" He snapped, throwing his pokeball. "Growlithe! Set his ass on fire!"

The other two decided to get in on this.

"Go! Electrike!"

"Buizel! Attack!"

The three pokemon that got called out instantly attacked, the growlithe using ember, the electrike using thunder wave, and the buizel using water gun.

One of the 3 figures turned around. "[parasitic bomb]! I thought Captain said that the darkness would keep us hidden!" One of the figures growled.

"He must be using some sort of thermal goggles." The second one said, reaching for his belt and pulling up a pokeball.

"Whatever, let's just turn the lights back on and kick his ass!" With that, lights all along the ceiling of Diglett's Cave, revealing the 3 of them. All of them male, average in height, and with average build. They all wore dark red jumpsuits with brass-colored belts, boots, and gloves, with bronze chest, back, and shoulder armor, and dark red helmets with vizors*. Around their necks, they all had reddish-orange scarves. Their Chestplates had a bronze LE emblazoned on them.

"Now, tremble in fear aand be overwhelmed by the power of Team Legend!"

(*Think Samus's helmet or Boba Fett.)

"Agumon, V-mon, it seems like this is an adult's party." Sapph said, pointing his digivice at the 2 dragon digimon. A light shone and enveloped the two of them.

"Agumon!"

"V-mon!"

"Evolve!" As with Impmon before, Agumon and V-mon scattered into clumps of loose data. Unlike Impmon, who didn't get much bigger, Agumon and V-mon's data clumps got much larger as they reassembled, Agumon's new form looking like a large, orange t-rex with blue stripes, spikes on his shoulders, and the top half of a brown triceratops skull with red stripes being worn as a helmet, while V-mon's new form looked like a large, blue, bipedal dragon with large hands and feet, white wings, a blade-like horn on his snout, and a silver-colored X on his chest and belly.

"Geo Greymon!"

"XV-mon!"

Wizarmon took his position front and center. "Alright team." Sapph started, taking out his DS and opening it and attatching his digivice where game cartridges would go. "Let's get ready to rumble!"

Sapph and his team didn't need to be told twice about the unfriendly presence. "If the foe is too strong, this building's becoming rubble..." He said quietly,looking around. He was set to fight at the first provocation, and so were his digimon.

They were fast to follow Talyn up the stairs, and were already turned to the stairs before HeatGabumon even alerted Talyn to it. His sword was partially drawn and his digimon had their attacks prepared.

Sapph sighed. "Well, if you're gonna be challenging the league, then I suppose I will have a match to look forward to." He said, rolling his head. "I've been waiting so long for a challenge, that I've had time to catch and train 2 or 3 of every dark type pokemon, as well as a small assortment of not-dark-types." He grumbled, thinking about something for a moment. "Well, since it seems that the issue with free-roaming gym leaders has been figured out, there's something else I have to attend to... If only I can remember what it was..."

Sapph sighed and looked to the sky. "I remember that it had something to do with Vermillion City, since it was something I decided to personally take care of while I was there, but I can't remember what it was for the life of me..."

V-mon and Agumon look at eachother before walking over to Impmon and shoving one of the ends of rope into his hands. "You're going." They said simultaniously before tossing the startled, purple digimon up to the above floor through the hole.

"Oof! Next time, warn me!" Impmon snapped down at the other two digimon of his team before looking around. Well, there were walls that were ripped open with the plumbing exposed, but they were rusty, so he had doubts that they would hold. "Cram it. Oy! Sapph! Evolve me!" Sapph simply nodded and pointed his digivice at Impmon, a bright light causing the purple digimon to seem to start flickering.

"Impmon evolve!" At this, Impmon seemed to scatter into a mass of loose data before reconfiguring into a shape that looked like a person in loose and ragged clothing with a large cape and a pointed hat. "Wizarmon!" He braced himself and held tightly to the section of staff that got sent up with him. "Climb the rope!"

Sapph scrached his 'chin' (more accurately, he rubbed the area of his helmet where his chin would be) as Sakura gave her answer. "Well... I see..." He said, sighing after the strange man seemed to come and go. "A apologize for not recognizing you, Sakura. Different outfit and your personal pokemon rather than the gym-regulated ones." He sighed, taking off his helmet to rub his temples. This revealed his face, having short, spiky, medium brown hair, coffee brown eyes, a well-trimmed van dyke, but an altogether average face. "I suppose that your reasoning is good enough to not get in too much trouble."

"Though... Here's the problem..." Sapph started. "When you leave your gym and hand it down to one of your followers, tat brings trainers out of the woodworks to challenge them, which gets weaker trainers through the cracks, which eventually leads to ALL trainers getting stopped by the first elite 4 member, nullifying the need for anything more than an elite 2."

Sapph sighed and directed his honchkrow to land hen the electrical battle started. The dark clouds would've helped him hide and watch better, but the lightning would've gotten him and his pokemon for sure. "Now then, I wait for them to finish." With that, he returned his honchkrow, crossed his arms, and sat down in the grass.
