ANN's brief wishlist wins solely for mention of U.S. 1.

Well, it's not like anyone who was in a previous game is a shoein to be in this one. Ask Hypershell about the lack of Mewtwo in Brawl.

I don't see why they'd ditch Hiryu. They just got to make him good.

-Amaterasu

I forgot to add her. And here's one more I could add: Nathan Spencer. The Rearmed kind, not the one married to his arm.

Gaming / Re: Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 - contains jumping
« on: April 20, 2010, 09:37:23 PM »
Pfft, you call that a jump? A turtle could jump higher than that.

I don't think it'll ruin the experience any. It's not like they added jumping to the first game. This a new game, so they can do what they want. And like Rilo said, it'll probably have a harder mode that prevents you from jumping.

This'll likely be my first Marvel, now that I hear it'll hopefully be balanced. The brokenness of MvC2 really turned me off.

I don't know how many characters they plan on cramming in there, but I'm sure some of the old ones aren't going to make the cut. We already got some good ones in the list, but here's some I'd really like to see:

Viewtiful Joe
some form of Mega Man that hasn't been in a VS game yet
Sigma
maybe a form of Zero, like Model ZX or something
Protoman
Poison
Hugo
Arthur
Wesker
one of the Killer7, preferably Mask de Smith
ANYONE from Power Stone

One of Chris' supers better be punching a boulder.

That's actually cuz that's the English Ryu from SF4 doing that. Cuthbert or whatever his name was?

It's Kyle Hebert, man.

split boss select

Agreed. Moreso in MMB's case. That mess is stupid and practically tells you the boss order. I've learned to live with it in 7 and 8, though.

But at least Bass and 7 have a single weakness circle. I really don't like how 8, 3, and 2 to a lesser extent have broken cycles. I understand with 8, the second half was designed so that you had to use the weapons you got in the first half, but I'm just not a fan of it. Only the Wily stages should force you to use a weapon.

I don't know where they get their data, because a third of seems flawed from my experience. I hear nothing but praise of Mega Man 8 if only because of the anime cutscenes. Sure, people pick on JUMP JUMP SLIDE SLIDE, but overall I'd say a lot more people like the game than dislike it. I am not particularly a fan of 8, so that would put me in the minority. It feels too slow and the music didn't do anything for me most of the time.

MM&B I can totally understand disliking. It's a very challenging game, even by Mega Man standards. And it is very rehashy of 8. My real gripe with it, though, was how useless Rush was in casual play, and that Rush Search was needed for half of the friggin CDs.

But I never understood the hate 7 gets. Maybe because 7 is my favorite classic game. I just love how it plays, how it looks, how it feels.

I'd say 6 is the worst or the numbered Classics, actually. But that doesn't mean 6 is a bad game. It just means it's not quite as good as the rest in my eyes.

Harmony of Dissonance copied Symphony of the Night as much as it could, including making the Belmont look like the son of Dracula.

But really, is it a bad thing it plays so much like Symphony with a dash?

Then that's wrong, cause way too many people forget about the Christopher games. I can understand looking over the first Adventure, but Belmont's Revenge is fantastic.

Also, if this were to be another Juste game, it would really lame to have yet another Dracula resurrection in the 18th century. Unless Konami decides to be daring and NOT use Dracula, which I can't see happening too easily.

Now, if only a Castlevania movie was made... but it was cancelled.

Pretty sure it's still on the shelves now. They've just kinda started from scratch.

I do too. Gimme more of the same stuff we've been getting for 13 years.

Although if that is the name, why use Harmony again? There are plenty of other music terms they can use. Prelude, Requiem, Bolero, anything else Zelda's already used.

Yeah, that's what irks me about LoS the most. I want to see what happens with the new Alucard game.

Look, I am a huge backer of IGA, but if Circle of the Moon and the N64 games are indeed canon again, his timeline is a mess. That makes the 19th century really busy for Dracula; four or five resurrections and deaths there alone, and all about a decade apart from each other except for the novel. I thought OoE was going to retcon those three entirely and just give Dracula one premature resurrection in the early/mid 1800s. But no, all of a sudden, everything except Sonia is suddenly canon again, supposedly.

If LoS does take place before LoI, meaning there would be no Dracula, I dare say that would be a good change of pace that wouldn't further murk up this timeline. Or even between LoI and CV3, cause those are 400 years unaccounted for.

First, this is quite the friggin necropost, dontcha think?

Second, I'm sure emulated games wouldn't count. You had 5 actual games before, why change it with a cheated choice like Zero 3?

Third, thank you for giving me the chance to use my locktab again. It's been a while.

IMO, the preferred stage order heavily changes dependent on difficulty mode and player character.

Mmm, I don't think so. No matter what, Pump seems to be the best to do first. Especially when you're Bass, he can shoot through Water Shield easier than the others.

E3 can't come soon enough. I really, really need to see some new footage. What I've seen so far is in no shape or form bad, but I've yet to say that I'm pumped for the game. Patrick Stewart is not a selling point alone. It's nice that they're paying attention to and respecting the older games, though.

Speaking of Chappelle, they're probably copying his show in this case; ending it on a high note.

I've been patiently waiting for more Boondocks. And yet this is going to be the longest month of my life.

Best have A Pimp Named Slickback up in that [sonic slicer]. :v

Sorry, but it still looks like the player's fault to me. And the video you posted doesn't help change my mind any, Ben, cause he's clearly doing [parasitic bomb] he's not supposed to there. i.e., He's Doing It Wrong.
