That was really cool. What was the gimmick in the old build? Cause I'm sure it wasn't as good as this. Riding the decks of cards around like Ice Man was awesome.

I'm indifferent. I just hope there's still Wacky Food Items.

Cause he's not a Mega Man. He's Zero. He's red. That's like calling Proto Man a Mega Man.

I'm not sure what they're planning. While all three of them are possible, less so Jill cause I'm unsure about 3 RE characters, they could have just been using the MvC2 art. I didn't see Jill and Mega, but I did see Strider.

The place BLEW UP when they showed Arthur. Everyone was super hyped. Spencer was pretty well received too, although one guy did shout "Lose the dreads!" While the more "hardcore" Spencer kinda fits the comic book vibe, I would have preferred Rearmed 2's Spencer. Quick, someone make a picture with WHERE'S YO BUSHY MUSTACHE!?

Also cool to see MODOK and Mag-[tornado fang]ing-neto in. I knew it would be on the internet by the time I got back tomorrow, as I won't make it early enough to see the official reveal, but I didn't expect a leak. And we need more Marvel heroes.

My brother and I will be at Comic Con on Sunday.  I hope to see you guys there!  Maybe I can leave a PictoChat session open or something to touch base?  *shrugs*

That ain't a bad idea. But you should be able to spot PB, and we'll likely be together eventually. If you see me before anyone else, I'll be a Jin cosplayer with a Ragna with me.

Also, I'm not sure if I trust bringing my DS out there.

I couldn't make it today because I'm getting ready for NYAF/NYCC this weekend. I'll get all my MMU needs there, and more.

Played the demo, which is the same thing from E3. Boring as hell. I had more fun looking at the bestiary and the artwork in it.

Items are only activated when they're absolutely necessary. Varia is kinda the exception, however the heat damage was not that severe at all. Being stuck in the boss fight for x amount of time, however, Samus may not survive.

I guess. It's gameplay design, not story design.

The green is pretty bright though... (seeing so upon my low% run of the game (3% so far, although it could've been 2%, but ah well, a minor mistake.)

No you didn't make a mistake. 3% is the lowest you can get on Normal. There's 2 energy tanks and a missile you have to pick up.

Yeah, someone spoiled it for me on a BlazBlue forum of all places. Not sure if want.

Yeah, Simon is supposed to be pronounced the French way, according to how his name is said in Japanese. It's just like the Gurren Lagann Simon. The dub uses SEE-moan, which is really stupid sounding. And Sih-MOAN sounds girly in the west. So Sai-mun it is. It's not supposed to be correct, but by widespread usage it's become correct. It's like Naruto. Most people aren't going to correct you if you say Na-ROO-to or Sa-KOO-ra. (Though Sa-SOO-ke sounds really stupid. You don't mess with The Sauce.)

Sai-fuh is supposed to be how that sounds, unless you romanize the Japanese even more and call her Cypher. Harmony of Dissonance made that translation flub iirc. Her last name, though, that's a mess. It should be Fernandez like Carrie in 64, but it's been mistranslated a couple different ways, with Belnades becoming official. Lecarde should be Ricardo. Renard should be Learned. Bartley should be Báthory. But they're not. Castlevania's confusing.

Gametrailers is doing
a retrospective
to commemorate LoS' release. However, the voice of GT still can't pronounce names for [parasitic bomb]. It's Sai-fuh, not See-fuh.

Thanks so much. I had nothing against the music, I just didn't want to be forced to listen to it. And now you can choose which song you want to hear instead of reloading the shuffle. Options are good.

Kinda came out of nowhere, actually. It's only the pyramid stage, and it's 400MSP, so a lot of people are pissed. I'm going to wait and see if more comes out soon. I mean, they've teased Julius, Yoko, and Maria already, yet the stage comes out without warning. It's weird.

664
Wow, there's way more to this thing than just the 3D gimmick. It's amazing. The GB/GBA Virtual Console is the best part. Let's just hope it doesn't become a memory like the Wii's did.

665
Aw, I was hoping they'd wait for Comic Con to announce it. Close enough, though.

We all knew this was going to happen eventually, but still, just hearing it's official is exciting. Although I wouldn't've guessed it'd be on the 3DS.

Four parts? That actually would justify the $15 price point if this is only a quarter of the game. I wasn't expecting more than three parts.

And another talking point than can be seen as defending the price: Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles were full price when they came out, right?

But hey! Once again, we get another example of "Sega does what Nintendon't"! 8D

What are you talking about? Nintendo ain't good with prices at all. No first party Wii or DS titles go down in price, and some of the DS games go $5 higher than the standard $30 price point. They also don't have a Player's Choice line this generation, now that I think about it. Conversely, it didn't take long for Sega to drop House of the Dead Overkill and Madworld to $20.

But yeah, $15 for a part of a game does not sound like a good idea. I intended to wait until all of Sonic 4 was released and just play it all at once anyway. By then there should be a discount for the whole package. XBLA and PSN sometimes have sales too, so that's another reason not to get the Wii version I guess.

Taking a look at Zam'd now. Only up to Episode 4, so I'm not sure what to think yet concerning the story. But the imagery is interesting, like combining Miyazaki's works with Akira. And the opening theme is annoyingly catchy, sort of. I kinda like it, but I kinda don't.

They did this same thing to Ivy when Soulcalibur IV was coming out. Won't impact the game any way. It's just Capcom trying to protect children from the terrors of rockin' female bodies on the internet. Even though there are countless other places where you'll find them in skimpier clothing, if any at all.

RR: That color business isn't cool.

You'd be half right. While yes Casino Street's ripped from Sonic 2, and Mad Gear Zone is like Metropolis, the other two stages and the special stage are pure Sonic 1, and it could be argued Mad Gear also calls out to Scrap Brain too.

and the likelihood of re-using assets from TvC that much higher

I used to agree with you about that. But with Tron back in, that throws a wrench into that line of thinking. Would they really have two Legends reps? Would they really allow four Mega Man characters? The fear is becoming less of a reality to me. Now it just sounds like paranoid RUINED FOREVER talk.

What I don't get is, how is that any worse than what happened to Soliel/Solieyu, Christopher's son?

I don't believe Soleil had the Vampire Killer at the time. That meant Dracula could still be defeated by Christopher, and if Soleil didn't survive, the Belmont line could still continue. In Richter's case, there was no chance of Dracula being felled by the VK because Richter still had it, and Richter's power "was supreme among vampire hunters." He and mankind were lucky Alucard woke up. Sure Alucard was able to win in 1797, but would he be able to handle an even stronger Dracula 202 years later?

After Belmont's Revenge, the Belmonts were probably saying to themselves "We have to be really careful from now on." Symphony was their second strike, and they couldn't risk striking out before 1999.
