Well it looks better than the Sonic Sackboy, that's for sure.

And then of course, things like this can still happen:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmYjg9sa5bw

Horse.
[parasitic bomb].
People complain about this all the time, and yet it's NEVER happened to me. Not in 4, not in Rush, NEVER. If you get what's in that video, I'm convinced YOU'RE doing something wrong.

The physics are fine to me. I can see why people will hate, but I learned them quickly, and only after 2 days it feels natural to play. I wouldn't change a thing about the gameplay, actually. The only things I can say I would've liked in the game are:

- When on Time Attack mode, include an option to proceed to the next stage. Having to back to the stage select after every stage is a inconvenient.
- When registering your times to the leaderboard (the 360 one anyway, dunno about the others), you have to register for each stage individually. A mass register for all stages at once would have made sense.
- A replay feature like MM10's would've been AWESOME.

A little while ago I got the achievement for beating the final zone without taking damage. Wow that was hard. I only have one more achievement to get, the one for killing 1000 enemies. I'll play the game many more times in the future, so that will happen before I know it.

So I decided not to wait and buy it. And beat it. This is a really fun game. There are some things people are going to nitpick over, namely Sonic's momentum and air travel, but once you get used to it I don't think it ain't bad.

Yeah, for quarter circles and dragon punches it's no big deal. But if there's charge or 360s, I could see some people complaining.

Well here's hoping that move won't be available in Simple Mode. It's really stupid when you assign a charge move to a single button. At least BlazBlue's shortcuts weren't that bad. I think Tao was the only character that had a non-Astral charge move on shortcut, and it's not a game breaking move at all. Tager's 360A is probably as cheap as BBCT got. Then again, barely anyone has charge moves at all.

If it was Guile and Sonic Boom was on shortcut, that wouldn't be as bad cause the charge time is short. It's been a while, but I don't remember Hadangeki having a short charge time.

MvC3 Simple has supers on one button. I forget, does that mean one button press, cause that would be kinda cheap. To use BlazBlue again, CS this time though, Beginner Mode forces you to charge a button to use a super. MvC3 could definitely take a note from that.

Niitsuma said Arthur is suppost to play as Megaman classic, so dont get your hopes up.

I don't remember hearing anything like that.

Wait, since when did it cost 1500 points? o.o;

Japan Shop Channel sells it for 1000 points each episode.

Hmm, that's weird. It's definitely 1500 stateside.

I think it's safe to say the episodes will Lock On to each other.

Pessimistic concerning the price, I meant. But then again, if they did release all four episodes on a 360 disc, I wouldn't mind paying $60 for that.

16 levels would be really awesome, but I don't think they'd do that much. That's 64 Acts. That's friggin huge.

Yes it was. If you have a 360, go to MvC2's page on the marketplace. That picture is the background.

Heh, if you look in pic of the Bridget, Sato... the first Hazama cosplayer we saw is in there.

Oh yeah, look at that.

I was on line for a while, so they must have changed their minds.

I mean, how else do you explain the new picture on the home page, huh?

No it didn't. When you picked a stage, it always put you at Act 1.

About 4, I may reconsider waiting for every episode to come out. I would like to play it as I played 3; all at once. But who's to say how long it'll take Episode 2 etc. to come out? And there's also a deal going on on Xbox Live where if you spend $30 on XBLA games and DLC this month, you get $10 back, or something like that. I may want to take advantage of that, so long as Valkenhayn and more Castlevania DLC come out in a timely fashion.

That would make sense, as Sonic 3 had that too. Sonic 3 didn't let you choose the act, though. Does 4 do that too?

Alright, time for some pics.

First picture I got all weekend was this Bridget. She glomped me big time, both Friday and Saturday. She was with a Jam I didn't get a picture of.

Every other picture from Friday was at the MvC3 panel. No reason to post them; there's better pictures on line already. My friend did get video of the reveals. There's probably versions of that on Youtube. You have to hear the uproar that Arthur got.

On Saturday, we got a picture with Seth Killian. He's an awesome guy. I shoulda bugged him about X9 again.

Right after we were done with Seth, this Trigger cosplayer came by. His costume is incredible.

I don't know what this thing is, but it looks neat, and I got a hug from it.

A very cute Rei Ayanami.

An awesome Batman troupe; Harley, Riddler, Penguin, and Bane.

Aqua and friend. I was hoping to see more Birth By Sleep cosplays, but I only saw this and a Terra.

Got this autograph from the guys writing the new Mega Man Archie comic.

Dawn of the Final Day. We got on line for the Capcom panel right away. After waiting in another panel and coming back out, PB was first on line, and we were right behind him. During that time, all of Capcom's special guests were outside too. That's Inafune on the left, but I couldn't quite get a good shot of him. Got a nice view of Ryota Niitsuma, though.

I thought it was cute that at the MvC3 panel, when Niitsuma came on stage, I shouted "Nii-san!" I am cosplaying as Jin, after all.

After the Capcom Panel, we went to the Capcom booth upstairs to wait in line for an Inafune signing. A couple feet behind me was this Hit Girl.

A little while after, this Poison showed up. Holy [parasitic bomb], this might be my favorite cosplay I saw the entire show. My other friend is REALLY going to regret not going once I show him this.

Me and Inafune and my now signed MMXOCW. My friend was right behind me. He got Legends 2 signed, likely doubling its value.

This CC and Lelouche were being interviewed by one of the local news stations. We walked behind them at one point, but that never showed up in the report later last night.

There was no official showing by ASW. But NihonAuctions was holding a tournament for both Guilty Gear and BlazBlue. There was a lack of BB characters the entire show. We felt like the only ones. But on the final day, we ran into a few more. I believe the Hazama was actually in the tournament. He didn't win, though.

Also at NihonAuctions was this Soi Fon. She and the Litchi took turns holding up the match cards during the finals.

While the finals were going on, these guys showed up. The Navi was actually on stilts. Musta been a pain moving around like that.

This was actually the first and last thing I saw at the Javits Center. You're seeing that right, it's a Boba Fett playing the accordion.

On one final note, my costume wasn't complete. I had actually made a gag prop, but opted not to take it to the con. It woulda got destroyed in a heartbeat. It's a box Ice Car. Here's the front, complete with Niisan logo. That's not a typo. And here's the back. If it looks cheap and done in a day, then I know I did a good job.

Yeah, about that four parter business, sauce please?

645
It's worse in X5, actually. In X6, when you dash from a crouch your height never changes. The change from crouch to dash is instantaneous, whereas in X5 you stand up for a second before the dash, so you'll get hit by whatever's above you.

As ready as I am to defend the game, I'm waiting for the entire Sonic 4 package to be released.

Play a pinball machine to amass 100,000 points to clear the level. Here it is in the leaked 360 build:

Oh yeah, I remember that now. This change was for the better. Pinball hasn't been fun since Adventure 1, and even then I don't think it was all that cool.

Uh, he was signing everything today. What Inafune did you see?

Aw man, yeah I didn't even think of that.

I'll upload pictures tomorrow.

I was shocked that nobody else (that I saw, anyway) brought any of the art books for signing, I'd figured those would have been the most common items. But apparently Inafune hadn't seen many of them either; he seemed surprised when I handed XOCW to him for his sig.

Really? I was only 5 or so people ahead of you, and I got XOCW signed. Then again I didn't get to see his reaction cause I was fishing out my camera.

I'm torn between voting for Komaki or Yoshikawa. I honestly cannot pick one over the other.

I don't think so.

This year was my first Comic Con. So it was also the biggest con I've been to. It was pretty crazy. Not so much Friday and Sunday, but Saturday was a madhouse. But I did enjoy walking around the show floor, checking out all the shops and the cosplayers.

But Capcom's goods were the main draw. Seeing the MvC3 reveals and the Legends 3 info in person were incredible experiences. Hell, just being around so many fans at once is fun. And I finally got to meet a couple more RPMers in the process. Sorry we couldn't hang more, kinda got lost in the aether.

I have a sore throat and blisters on my feet. But it was all worth it.
