The cool thing about signatures is that mods can stealth edit them. I wish the same could be done for avatars.

Speaking of which, my avatar is C.C. because I'm in a Green mood.Go Jets

And now that Awesome Games Done Quick is done, it's back to the Shakeshake. Kanako is especially happy to see it back.

I'm stunned by it. It's really making it hard to not get a 3DS asap.

I ask because of Phase 0 and that there will be a drama recording of its prologue.

The genre description mentions something about a visual novel. I wonder what that's about.

So I guess this hints that Bass is a blonde too?

Nah, it just matches Bass' helmet fin.

Haggar is beast, and Phoenix looks pretty damn cool.

Here at AGDQ, the topic of Akuma came up. It was brought up that having another shoto was a downer. But someone reminded us that Akuma was the first crossover character, so Akuma's presence in MvC3 is more of a tribute to the Vs series history. And that I can respect.

He better have a Cyber Akuma skin.

How many games actually have DLC that is already on the disc, anyway? I honestly can't think of many. Just Mega Man 9, Mega Man 10, and Resident Evil 5 for sure. Were Roll's costumes in Powered Up on the disc itself? For most of the games with DLC that I own (9 and 10 are the only exceptions), the DLC is added in later.

I thought there was somethin' fishy goin on. When did the rank go away? I could have sworn it still existed not too long ago...

It created an issue with the Arcade. I'm not exactly sure myself. Ask Vixy.

I forgot to mention Wily II is a mod as well. Sorry, buddy.

I am a mod. The RPM Purifier title doesn't exist anymore, but Ares and I still have mod powers.

And as a mod, I will delete any posts concerning the pros and cons of DLC. We have a thread for it now.

Of course it fits here. It is a gaming subject, right?

I agree that DLC is a good thing. In addition to the stuff I said in the MvC3 thread, I'll also add that DLC adds replay value and longevity to a game. It keeps it fresh and prevents comments from people tired of playing the same thing over and over again. Having to pay to unlock content that is already on the disc, I'll admit, is shifty. And having to buy the higher difficulties on Mega Man 9 was dumb. But everything else makes sense.

Oh calling me out, huh? I feel I've totally got my money's worth with CS.

I think DLC characters in a fighting game is the right move to make. I'd much rather pay a couple bucks per character over time than wait for a hard copy of the plus disc. The balancing, the other big part of the updates, will be free. And by the time all these updates come out and are put on an official hard copy is released, the core release will already be available for cheaper, so the DLC doesn't make the game all that more expensive.

It helps that CS and SSFIV were sold for cheaper than normal to begin with. If you only bought the three extra characters in CS, you ended up paying about $60 altogether. $40 for CS1 and $20 for CS2. And that's if you got everything when they first came out. A perk of DLC is that PSN and XBL sometimes discount content. CS's DLC is discounted right now, I believe. And Valkenhayn on XBL was sold at a discount to begin with. I don't know if Yun, Yang, and whatever other characters are in SSFIVAE will cost $20 altogether, but it's still better than having to wait until there's a disc with them on it.

Sure CS2 has all that stuff built in. But it will come out 8 months after CS1 came out. And it's on the PSP for likely $30. The people who care about this stuff would've gotten CS1 on day 1 on 360 or PS3 and know better than to play that game on a PSP.

If you bought the additional colors and announcers for CS, then yeah that's more than $60. Yeah, they could be implemented into the physical release for no extra cost. But so what? They're extras that don't impact the gameplay any. They're there if you want them. And you're not entitled to these extras. To use a different analogy, it's like decorations on a car like decals or spinning rims. You don't need them for your car to function, but they're there if you want to express yourself.

You are spoiled by the kindness game companies offered in years past. They include these fun little extras for free, and you now expect the same from games today. The game has changed and you don't like the changes. So you shout and complain and want things to go back to the way they were. Like a bitter kermudgeny old fart.

Oh yeah, and quit reminding us of the leaked list the guy posted on Neogaf. We get it, it's very likely to be true. But what the hell do you care? This is a game you don't even care about. You have nothing to gain if the list is indeed correct. So stop riding that guy's dick and shut up about games you don't even play.

He might be, therefore he is? That's flawed logic. He could be the start of the clan. I don't think he would be, though. His beloved was already dead, and Gabe didn't seem to be the one to snog some other broad. They could've had one beforehand, but I don't know. That's pulling Goten [parasitic bomb].

Then again, there might not even be a Belmont clan in this continuity.

Let's see. I finished Canaan. Very good, lived up to my expectations of a Girls with Guns show. Too bad it's only 13 episodes, though. And I'm getting towards the end of Ichiban Ushiro no Daimao. The plot got really absurd now, really messy, but at least they're not cramming it into 2 episodes. I'm still being entertained, but maybe I have a higher tolerance for this stuff, so I can't recommend the show. I will recommend the opening song, though. It's really good. And I've finished the first seasons of Panty and Stocking and High School of the Dead.

Birdie was white in SF1, but then became black in SFAlpha1

Of course, one can say that he got something similar to what happened w/ Michael Jackson, but uh...that's a subject i'd rather see play out in Gamefaqs more than here...

He was sick that day.

I was impressed with that too. At first I was thinking cause it's a reboot they were going to completely ignore the Igaverse, but they end up referencing it a lot.

Yeah, the second third of the game has all the iconic marks of a CV. The first third, not as much. Just some familiar enemies and a guy with a whip. The final fraction, though, is a whole nother thing. So for a good portion, sure, it does look like a CV. But does it feel like a CV to these people? I think that may be what they're getting at. I can't really argue for or against in that case as thats a big YMMV. All I know is I didn't enjoy the game that much.

Get enough people to complain and maybe they'll increase the font. It worked for Banjo Kazooie.

I don't know if anyone here still plays Harmony of Despair. If not, the balance patch has definitely made playing online better. You can set which chapter and difficulty (who the hell plays on Normal?) you want to play when you create a lobby now, and even after you select your party, you can still let people in afterwards. Only Charlotte and Alucard got the nerf hammmer. Heal costs more, heals less, and offers no invincibility. And the Yasutsuna's attack speed and strength were lowered, so you can't Blendercard with it anymore. In turn though, a lot of Alucard's other weapons got attack buffs like the Alucard Sword and Muramasa. Lances are stronger now. All the whip users' subweapons cost less MP, as do Yoko and Maria's spells. Yoko's fire and lightning also heal holy damage so she isn't screwed against Astarte anymore. The Robe Decolette now has a built in Chaos Ring effect. And there's a new drop for Chapter 7 gold chests, the Miser Ring, which adds 1 Attack for ever million gold you have. It caps at 10 million gold, but you can equip two and they stack. I got my first one rather quickly, but I'm still looking for my second.

I hate games that are widescreen only. Which makes me hate this generation a bit because a LOT of games are like this now. Not quite my problem cause my only system not hooked up to my HDTV is my Wii, and very few games I own on it are widescreen only. But playing at friends' houses? It gets bad sometimes.

I see it taking until Plat is out, anything sooner will be a pleasant surprise.

A fix like this shouldn't take till March.

Anyone still doubting Akuma or Hsien-ko?

For the sake of argument, Satsui no Hadou could refer to Ryu as well. And is there a character that "dwells in darkness" that's not from Darkstalkers?

But Akuma was deconfirmed......

Not exactly. There was a vague quote that basically said they were trying to cut down on cloneliness. Key word "trying" I suppose.
