Well it seems Doc Ock was going to get in anyway, so maybe Venom will make it later.

You're talking about those fightpads? I only got to play around with one at the SDA Marathon. That big d pad felt boss. And I hear those are great for playing as grapplers.

Have you tried the rotating d pad controller? It's much better imo. If not, Gamestop controller d pads are really good.

I was brainstorming an X movelist earlier. I should write that stuff down, actually.

Alright, here it is.

so wait.... what version of MvC3 should I get? I ain't investing $300 in Canadian money on 2 fightsticks!

You don't need to. 360 sticks work on PS3s, but not the other way around.

I haven't had any problems playing the game on the new rotating dpad 360 controller. I never tried my stock controller because I know better.

Considering Frank was in the earlier builds, no surprise he was going to show up again. And I'm happy a Spider Man villain is finally showing up. I was brainstorming an X movelist earlier. I should write that stuff down, actually.

Got the game at midnight last night. Played it till 4AM. I'm not sure about Haggar on my team now, actually. The grapplers in general aren't appealing to me as much as Alex did in TvC. I'm going to try and give Tron a shot. Zero is still a definite. And in the pool of candidates are Wolvie, X23, Iron Man, Morrigan, and Dante.

The game is not that bad on it own. However, I'll admit it's definitely not as good as the original Rearmed. It's much easier, even without jumping. Most of the weapons are useless. The bosses are lame. Even the humor is dry sometimes. I know that paints a bad picture, as does nearly every review of the game (seriously, the scores this game is getting should not be so low), but if you get past that, the game is still very playable, and it's pretty enjoyable most of the time.

Anime & Manga / Re: What Anime are you Currently Watching?
« on: February 10, 2011, 07:22:22 PM »
I really should take my advice more often and wait about four or five episodes before judging an anime. Based off the first two episodes of Koihime Muso, it seemed innocent enough. Well, I have four episodes under my belt, and yeah, things get sexy. And kinda weird in the case of licking an armpit. And there ain't any censoring on this one, so yay nips. So I was wrong in that you could put it on American TV, but it's still no Queen's Blade yet. There haven't been titties popping out during fights yet, for one thing.

Let's see. I finished Kaichou wa Maid-sama. The final episode was a bit of a letdown, but I sure enjoyed the ride there. All in all, I really liked it.

I'm taking a look at Koihime Muso. From reading a rather vague description, I was expecting the show to be another Queen's Blade. It's not; it's much more tame. At least so far. I know the OVAs are all fanservice. Disregarding that, it looks like a show you can actually put on TV. Hyakka Ryoran Samurai Girls, however, that is more like Queen's Blade. Girls in trampy revealing outfits and getting into sword fights. Lots of nudity too, but of course I'm watching the TV version. At least the censorship is creative. I'd much prefer this show's ink blotches over the blinding lights other shows use. Even so, I don't understand why only the TV versions of shows like this are shipped over when they're licensed. There's no way in hell these shows will ever air on cable, they'll be only on DVD and on demand, so what's the problem? Hyakka Ryoran pushes the envelope as it is. Seriously, I'm shocked the part in the opening where Hanzo licks Sen's leg wasn't covered up. What, licking a leg is okay, but going tongue-to-tongue on the Orgy Bus in Highschool of the Dead isn't? I hope Sentai Filmworks actually got the DVD version of Kampfer. Seriously, there's nothing wrong with those swimsuits.

I also saw a couple episodes of Nyan Koi. I am not a cat person in the least, but the show is actually quite funny. And I'm expecting this to turn into a harem rather quickly, but that part of the show was surprisingly absent early on.

Finally for now, there's Hell Girl Three Vessels. The show is becoming a parody of itself at this point. The scares are more comical, and I think the setup is absurd. As is the transformation sequence I'm expecting to show up in every episode now. There's only so many times I will stand to see Hell Girl hatch out of a cocoon growing from a girls back. If she would say "I'm inside you" more often to her, though, I'd laugh my ass off every time.

The game actually rewards you for not jumping. That's funny. Almost as funny as the big bad being Castro.

I haven't played much, but I definitely like what I played. The controls are streamlined and much more user friendly.

Why would you not use the shoulder button? Did they not know there was an options menu, and by the time they found out, they already were too used to Dash Clawing?

Also, Command Dash.

Different strokes, man. Some people prefer to use the shoulder buttons for weapon switching.

Using a second finger to hit the right face button to dash. It's for the guys that don't dash with a shoulder button.

I'd like Alucard to have a short Wingsmash as a martial art. But after giving him +1 versions of Kaiser Knuckles, Valmanway, and the Alucard Sword, I don't expect much else for him. Maybe that elusive Shield Rod if anything.

Nope, the DLC spells don't add to her base attack. Same goes for Shanoa's spells and the Belmont's subweapons. But they really should. They need some way to keep up with Soma.

Retro The Count. Everything in the stage begins with R. for Retro except for the Mimics.

There's actually some nice stuff in the stage. Shanoa finally gets new weapons, Dextro and Sinestro Custos. There's a whole set of Retro gear for the Belmonts, most of which are better than Simon's Plate etc. Charlotte can get a couple 8bit spells. And there are upgraded versions of Valmanway and Claimh Solais from the boss chest. Yoko and Maria get nothing.

The excuses for not having Mega Man are dumb as all hell. It would've been better if he didn't say a word.

Looking at the partial move lists on the official site, Hadangeki is spammable still. It's not a charge motion anymore, so that makes spamming it acceptable, for lack of a better term.

And about that Mega Man fanmade command list, I agree in that it's too much. It's not necessary to use every weapon in existence. His hyper really goes overboard with that. Less is more, I say. I definitely approve of a random shield for when he blocks, though. That's a nice touch.

I'm pretty indifferent on this. The specs and games and whatnot aren't very exciting. I really don't understand the purpose of the back touch panel. I do like that the sticks are elevated, but those things could get messed up if you put it in your pocket. And yeah, the price is going to be gross.

Chapter 10 has every single boss from the first Castlevania. In fact, the stage is pretty much C1 in its entirety. And then some, cause you can frequently go between the "stages" to find treasure chests. And yeah, it's brutal on Hard. It's awesome to the max. Best stage yet, and it's cheap too.

Simon himself is cool. Same deal as the other Belmonts, except he can't use Ricochet Rock and he doesn't have an RB. But he can throw fireballs from his whip if you do qcf+attack. I haven't taken him online yet, and I'm avoiding Gamefaqs so that I can possibly find something rare for myself, but I've heard rumor that when you Dual Crash with him you get a time stop or slow.
