I didn't see that either. Maybe I was out of the house at that time.

Where was I when that happened? That's hilarious.

The BBCS2 top 8 was sick. It's amazing to see a Hakumen make it that far. Even better, he won the whole thing. Spark is insane. I have never seen Lord Knight look so free.

403
Oh man, such a damn shame for clockw0rk. He choked hard.

btw, I must've missed when Daigo was eliminated. Who knocked him out of MvC3?

404
Oh my God. D3athwi5h. Just, oh my God.

quick edit: Better yet, Mike Z with the 70 Sledges. I have never laughed so hard.

405
He is my hero.

406
Justin vs Mago. Now it's gotten exciting.

407
For good reason. Her Viper costume is sweet. And she hugs her opponents.

Not gonna lie, it hasn't gotten too exciting for me yet. The most I've gotten out of today so far was Juicebox winning despite getting screwed by a pause. He needs to play Juri and land Ultra II ASAP. I'm more looking forward to tomorrow. BlazBlue in particular.

There is a fanmade remake of Simon's Quest I saw someone streaming once that looked to do just that. You still had to grind a lot, but you could save your progress, the hints weren't terribly criptic, there was boss in each mansion, and the graphics were beefed up to Castlevania 4/Rondo of Blood level. Hell, Simon's sprite was just a red Richter.

As for what Konami's doing now, while the 1999 game(s) was rumored to be in development years ago, I don't think they're going to put it out yet. I wouldn't mind a Belmont's Revenge Rebirth.

This isn't as bad as that Korean couple who neglected their kid to death in favor of playing MMOs. But still, this is [tornado fang]'d up.

The only way a Phoenix inclusion could get better is if every now and again, his Objection bubble would switch between "Hold That", "Salty" & "Free". XD

This sentence kinda confused me until halfway through. There's gonna be two Phoenixes in this game. We gotta start being more specific. Like calling him Nick or Feenie. And calling her Jean or Chickenhead.

She might be a pre-op transsexual in Japan. I'm not 100%. The story with that is a mess.

The amount of doujins about Poison and her "special feature" will probably skyrocket once this is released.

Her dick is +8 on block.

I was probably going to get the game anyway. But now it's a required purchase.

I'm surprised that they got Phoenix Wright and Nemesis. But I'm wondering what happened to that Doctor Octopus folder in the original.

Oh and it looks like Jill and Shuma are still DLC.

It's a pretty dumb business decision to make this when the first version isn't even a year old. But hey, it worked for them 20 years ago with all the versions of Street Fighter II, so whatever. And I can see this as trying to make up to those who were disappointed with stuff in the first version, like it was too broken or there's no spectator mode or no Strider. (I'm surprised they managed to get him.) But the way they're doing it isn't exactly helping.

I would've preferred a DLC update to the original, but I'm guessing there's too much new stuff in there for that to be possible. Not just a balance tweak with new characters and moves. We know spectator's in, which probably counts for a lot of that. Perhaps there's also some sort of new game mechanic or something. Mega Crash or some sort of defensive option might be a good idea to have.

News and Announcements / Re: Mega Man Legends 3 Has Been Cancelled
« on: July 19, 2011, 07:17:19 AM »
I was gonna write a whole opinion piece on this, but it's not worth it. I find all of the whining and moaning and threatening and trolling deplorable, and that all that do such don't deserve Legends 3. And I'm sure even if the game came out, at least half of the world would still be giving Capcom [parasitic bomb] because it didn't live up to their expectations. Years of hype and anticipation wasted. You know, like what happens to every video game nowadays.

That's all.

It's called satire.

No, it's called trolling. And it's called unprofessionalism. This is a news post you posted. News posts go on the front page for any passerby to the site to see. And news posts should be professionally done. With respect and dignity and not being a total dick about it, whether you called it or not. Seriously, this is what you do with the journalistic powers given to you?

I suggest you rewrite the post with just the facts and leave you opinions to all the other topics in the forum talking about this.

Well they said the Getsu Fuuma Den stage was the last DLC. And there's other [parasitic bomb] that's still in the code, like the Shield Rod. I wouldn't expect anything.

Yo! PS3 brodudeskis! Have you been waiting patiently a year now to play Harmony of Despair? Well, your patience has payed off! Cause you're finally going to get the game. With a new feature; local 4 player co-op. Also, you don't have to pay extra for Chapter 7, Julius and Yoko. That means Konami's rewarding your patience (and PSN hack woes possibly) with $11 worth of DLC for free.

You'll still have to grind though. And if I knew any better, they'll fix some [parasitic bomb] like the Chapter 10 shortcut glitch.

Zero / Re: Megaman Zero: The Fandub Project
« on: July 06, 2011, 08:52:47 PM »
I guess I'll let anyone who was wondering why this hasn't progressed in so long: MadManX has canned the project, citing problems with the video footage aspect of it.

I'm sad to see it go. While there were some rough spots in the first video, it was to be a long project, so it would likely have gotten better over time. At the same time, though, I'm not surprised that it has stopped. It was a very ambitious project. I respect that ambition, though.

And I'm especially sad it stopped before I even got to debut. I was recast as Zero for the second episode. I'll probably put up all my lines some time down the line.

Gaming / Re: Capcom and permanent saves for RE:Mercs

Look, I totally agree that every game should give you the option to remove all the data. Cause options are always a good thing.

All I'm saying is, in this case, with this particular game, it's really not that big a deal. It's a minor inconvenience. No reason to rally the troops and murder Capcom over. No reason to get paranoid that Capcom is going to kill replayability in all of its future games. Maybe they could do this in, like, a future 3DS version of Puzzle Fighter or something like that, but definitely not in something like RE:Revelations.

And it just blows my mind how adamant everyone is over it. It's kinda funny actually.

The bill would do more than just take the video down. If you have 10 offences within a 180 day period, you would get jail time.

Here is another point of reference, an opinion piece written by a lawyer who specializes in the entertainment industries.

The thing is the way the bill is worded is incredibly vague. It would need to be more specific to pass. And even so, this probably won't affect people who stream video game footage all that much. Stuff like that would fall under fair use. Hell, some game developers like Capcom actually support streams. Shutting down fighting game tournaments and the like would actually be a detriment to Capcom. Not to mention it would be very bizarro if you get jailed for putting videos of 3rd Strike Online Edition on Youtube using the in-game feature that uploads those videos directly.

Well it ain't stopping anybody (anymore in Gamestop's case) from selling the game used. So if that was Capcom's plan, it failed within a week.

I'd like to think that people are more pissed that Capcom is willing to lock saves at all. And if this works (that is, they can ignore the complaints), who's to say they won't try this on a non-arcade/score attack game? Like MML3?

No game company in their right mind would do that to a game that has actual story progression. I know Capcom is everybody's punching bag, but having that kinda doubt is downright stupid.

Man, I haven't changed my avatar since AGDQ? Wow. Well, it's summer around here now. And Flandre's ready for it. Or an Epic One Liner.
