they've been doing that for years. do the names Luigi and Tails ring a bell?

just because a series is darker and more serious, doesn't mean it can't be made for all audiences. making something more "mature" would not help matters. if anything, it would signify Jumping the Shark.

for additional reading, see Shadow the Hedgehog.

i am against such idea cause i'm getting really tired of remakes.

there's nothing wrong with cartoony. that's half the reason some of us even play Mega Man in the first place.

and i don't think Legends type gameplay really suits Zero. sword slashing in that engine would be clunky. Devil May Cry, on the other hand, would be a nice fit.

double wrong. the correct answer is Forte.

but seriously, though, Mega Man 8 lied to you.

I don't think there has been a hermaphrodite as a main character yet.  Or a pregnant woman.

or a pregnant man.

You play as a normal Mettaur and must find a way to reach the next screen.

i think they have that, actually. HardHat, i think its called.

Yeah why can't we make the most cliche game ever?

cause it's already been made. it's called 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand.

drew this in class today cause i was bored.

it's a more human take on Guilty Gear's Justice. i was lucky enough to have both a black pen and a blue pen on me, so this picture is actually partially colored in.

from the 3D Sonics, i guess my favorite there would be Green Forest. though Cosmic Wall is an absolute blast too.

Metroid's a tough one. for now, i'll give it to Green Brinstar in Super.

for the Mario platforms, gotta go with Hell Prominence cause that's an awesome [tornado fang]ing name. for the Mario spinoffs, i was always a big fan of Koopa Troopa Beach in Mario Kart 64.

and i'll name my favorite stage in Rosenkreuzstilette as well: Iris Stage 2.

if i had to pick absolutely one stage from S3K, it would have to be Doomsday. that music gets me pumped. and come on, Doomsday just sells itself.

another kickass stage is Stage 9 in Castlevania IV. we call it the Treasure Room. best underappreciated song in the game, and it's got a screensaver of sorts. pause the game and the ghosts continue to fly by.

a really hard pick is from Mega Man. for now, i'll name Wily Stage 2 of MM9. mostly cause of the music: We're The Robots is my favorite track in MM9.

footage? pfft. that's going to be one of the games playable on the show floor.

Gaming / Re: Glitches you've found
« on: April 22, 2009, 04:20:07 AM »
can't say i've discovered any glitches in games. the closest i've done is a trick in Mega Man X5. use Burn Dinorex's abilities to quickly destroy the trains in Crescent Grizzly's stage.

So yeah,
I was listening to this
, and now I'm praying the big holiday game is a new 2D Metroid done by WayForward.

forget who makes the game. i want a new 2D Metroid, period. and don't say things like a WayForward-made Metroid. remember: hype can kill.

the next gen Castlevania comes to mind right now. what the hell is IGA going to do with that? and where's the 1999 games already?

You know what's funny? I think I'm the only person around who's never really paid attention to booth babes at E3. XD

still too soon for a new Sonic game, olympic crossover aside...

no sir it's not. i guarrantee a new Sonic game will be announced and rushed out for a Thanksgiving release. development began yesterday.

though a Sonic Rush 3 wouldn't be a bad thing...

Rush Adventure killed all my hope for that series. but that would fare better than the other handheld Sonic series.

COMING SOON TO THE PSP!!!
SONIC RIVALS 3!!!!
Now with more NOT FUN!!!
Featuring Vector the Crocodile!
With more bling than you bitches can handle!!

the fact that those colors look like the MM1 boxart must be coincidence.

also, the blue and yellow color scheme has been used long before now. Thunder Striker uses the same colors, as does Thunder Beam in Powered Up. Ice Wave looks kinda similar, just a lighter shade of blue. Flash Bomb and Astro Crush also look like that, albeit greener.

those colors in MM8 suck. if you're not paying attention to the weapon icon, you can't tell the difference between Astro Crush and Flash Bomb.

Nintendo has to announce something really big for the Wii at E3. the Wii is in a real slump over in Japan; PS3's been beating it for a while. and Punch Out and Wii Sports Resort alone will not fix that. they need a new Zelda or something. Ninty needs to come out with some DSi exclusives, too.

Sony's set with the PS3 in Japan, what with FFXIII supposedly coming out at the end of the year. i say supposedly, cause i can guarantee it will get delayed at least one more time. i'm as sure of that as VersusXIII getting a 360 release. but Sony needs to ante up a little bit for outside Japan. also, those rumors of a PSP 4000 may very well come true at E3.

i don't have anything to say about Microsoft. they have barely any exclusives left. guess Rare fans are going to have to keep holding on to hope of a KI3 announcement. although, there was a rumor about Perfect Dark XBLA, which would be pretty sweet.

as for multiplatform stuff, at this point its going to be hard to top Bayonetta.

2248
the only one i can think of is Banjo Tooie.
