is this really going to change anything? how is this different from DC being owned by Warner Bros.?

it's the source of his power.

(how many times has X died?).

depends on how many times you lose a life when you play the game.

i am currently on the hunt to get as close to the top spot on the Wii leaderboards as i can. videos of the first 8 stages are on Youtube, and i am attempting the Wily stages when i get the chance. currently, i'm tied for #6 with a time of 21:34. with some insane luck, i could steal the #2 spot, which is currently 20:51. can't beat the #1 of 16:12, cause that's a hacked time.

MegaDestructor9 currently has all the time attack world records on 360. all those videos are here. his Special Stage time is out of date, though.
he improved it just recently.

i didn't get the shirt, but i did get the poster. i'm thankful i at least got that. my Gamestop has conned me out of a bunch of preorder bonuses, most notably the Banjo Kazooie voucher.

it has a Ride Chaser in it. therefore, it is a Ride Chaser stage.

and it was really annoying at first. i used to never be able to do it on the first try. now after playing it so much, it ain't too bad. i sometimes still trip up, though.

Ride Chaser stages always have awesome music. Man-O-War and Yeti are no exceptions.

your placement for reeling up treasure chests needed to be disgustingly precise, if memory serves. everything with KoRL felt like a chore. especially early on when you have to travel halfway across the ocean and back again.

pretty sure that's only a slight exaggeration.

and for the record, rolling as a Goron is the best mode of travel.

the slide's too slow in MM8. i need the upgraded slide. and yes, Arrow Shot is all kinds of awesome.

Too damn slow (both you and YOUR SHOTS), and the music was moronic.

disagreed with all of the above.

you're supposed to dash so that you are directly behind Man-O-War at all times. NEVER try to snipe him out, cause he will get out of the way, and there is that 3 bullets on screen cap. which if you're directly behind him, doesn't make a difference because you'd be pummeling those blasts into him with no delay.

and i feel the song is very underappreciated. maybe because you can barely hear it in game over Man-O-War's babble and engine roars. it's sorta different from the other tracks in the game in that guitar isn't the focus. it fits the stage very well; it gives the mood of a futuristic city with bright lights all over the place.

however, i do agree that Stingray had the better chase stage.

i think it's more like 2.75 loops. the place blows up before you enter the tunnel the third time.

even though it's techincally legal to buy a game or movie regardless of your age, UK distributors agreed they will continue to abide by the rules.

yeah, just like how eroge developers "agreed" to no longer depict [twin slasher].

while i'm sure the big distributors will follow the rules to keep their image, lesser known stores and such may not be in on the agreement. at least, that's what i'd think.

Gaming / Age Restrictions in the UK Have Not Been in Effect for 25 Years
« on: August 26, 2009, 12:59:31 AM »
http://www.gamepolitics.com/2009/08/25/oops-uk-game-ratings-haven039t-been-enforceable-1984

For 25 years, the UK has been enforcing rules that were not in the books. So all the people that got convicted for buying things like movies and games while underage have been wrongfully convicted. Basically, it's anything goes in the UK right now. If you're a 12 year old British boy who wants to buy a copy of Backdoor Sluts 9, you can do it. If you want to buy a game that has been denied a ratings classification, you can do it.

Am I the only one that finds this hilarious?

i think they left BSJ's in Prime 1, though. i've already got a few instant unmorphs without trying.

the 360 Arcade is a scam. sure it's cheaper than the Wii at face value, but you can't do [parasitic bomb] with the 64MB memory card they pack in. you have to buy a hard drive.

Nintendo developed Zero Mission just a few years ago, and that game actually encouraged sequence-breaking, just like Super.

that's why those two are my favorites. in that order.

and it's already been discussed what can no longer be done in Prime 1 and 2, because people at metroid2002.com have imported them and studied them.

there is a way to get Space Jump earlier than intended in Prime 1, but as of yet you can't get it first. which means you actually have to fight Hive Mecha again, which sucks. most of the PAL changes are present in Prime 1 as well. despite all that, the game is still pretty breakable. but oddly, the narration present in the PAL version ain't in Trilogy, which baffles me.

Prime 2 took a bigger hit. bomb space jumping has been taken out of that game, making a million tricks undoable. considering how few sequence breaks were in Prime 2 at the get go, Prime 2 is almost unbreakable now. it's comparable to how Prime 3 is.

i wonder if any changes were made to Prime 3...

i just entered Magmoor Caverns in Prime 1, and saved before the Dark Alpha Splinter in Prime 2. i'm enjoying myself with both games so far. i still love the Wii controls, especially the Jumpball.

i do miss being able to use Sub Tanks and the like immediately when you collect them. that's something i'd like to see X9 do.
