and I remember in X4, the buster did pitiful damage (zero's skills didn't fair much better).

I don't know what X4 you were playing, cause Zero's skills were incredibly powerful. Not so much Shippuuga, but the shear brokenness of Ryuenjin makes up for it.

But SFIV already has 3 Alpha characters. 4 counting Gen.

That's one hell of a claim. It sounds more like a fan's dream.

But if this does turn out to be true, I pray to God SFIV' isn't a new retail game. In this day and age, new characters for a fighting game should only be DLC.

only Vixy should be written in katakana.

LoL, it'd also help if I didn't look so hispanic.  XD

Please. I've seen African American Soras before. I think a latino PB would be okay.

Muso. And don't tell me it's more fun on Shura because it's harder.

I finally got around to playing the game. I've spent about 90 minutes on it already. And it has yet to make me go "Wow." It's a great game, don't get me wrong, but the hype made it sound like it was going to be something more.

Maybe that'll change when I progress further.

if it's anything like the other Rebirths, it's coming out in Japan right away, but will take a few months to cross the Pacific.

either way, Day 1.

it's harder in Trilogy, too.

you should go in sequence from 1 to 3. cause if you get too used to starting with everything in Prime 3, it's going to throw you off when you lose all your [parasitic bomb] in Prime 1.

maybe, i dunno.

is there a point in X2 where you absolutely HAVE to climb a ladder? i can't thinmof a place with a ladder that doesn't also have walls surrounding it. not only is wall jumping faster than climbing ladders, but firing the double charge from the wall has no delay.

Hey, at least the guy got two games to his name, and even that comic book adaptation a few years back.

and yet he's not a part of the Greatest Five, but Juste is.

oohohohoho. i was so giddy when i read this news.

it's especially nice that it's (supposedly) a remake of the first Game Boy game. Christopher gets NO love.

Are you kidding?  Zero's GROUND dash is gimped in X8, much less air.

distance doesn't mean [parasitic bomb] when you can spam. and his dash jump is unchanged.

To be fair, we don't have dashjump-airdash.

X2 has dash jump-charged Speed Burner-air dash.

Since when does removing an obvious physics exploit suck?

when you speedrun and don't yet have Ultimate X.

Gaming / Re: Tatsunoko vs. Capcom (the sequel topic)
« on: September 12, 2009, 08:28:18 PM »
I'm thinking it's MM's Zero. He and Frank would make 2 Capcom characters, while Joe the Condor, Tekkabla and Yatterman #2 would be new Tatsunoko characters.

thank you Captain Obvious.

The only problem I have with the new characters is with Yatterman #2. I mean, what are the odds she's going to be a clone of Yatterman? It seems as if TvC has done fairly well in avoiding clones of the characters in-game, so I hope she's little more than a different model.

i'd say about the same odds as Tekkaman Blade being a sorta clone of Tekkaman and Joe being a sorta clone of Ken.

looks like we got another one who was expecting the SNES version. the Arcade version didn't have a manual dash either, and also throws and slams were random in that version. i'd bet getting in a lock was an Arcade thing too.

for double jump, you have to doubletap the jump button very quickly.

i'll be frank and a buzzkill. even imagining that zero.jpg isn't referring to the Zero we're thinking of is downright retarded. Capcom isn't that smart to pull a fast one like that. if they meant Gouki of any form, they would've named the picture as such.
