I wasn't expecting Hazama per se, but I pretty much got it right.

Rockman Series / Re: How did you get interested in Mega Man?
« on: September 28, 2009, 04:23:24 AM »
You know, I could've swore we had a topic like this. But I couldn't find it.

Anyway, my first exposure to Mega Man was the Ruby Spears cartoon. I never actually played a Mega Man game till X6.

It's called Zero Stage 2 because the final areas take place in Zero Space. The tracks probably should be called Zero Space Stage 1 & 2 in that case. But I do consider that stage a Sigma stage more than a Zero stage. And the RAVE is quite awesome.

Do you know what sort of sucked about X8? Every level was a gimmick. There weren't any normal levels with enemies. The closest to those are Pandemonium & Antonion, but they have ride armor through the whole level & buttons to make them abnormal. I like a few gimmick stages, like McWhalen & Dizzy from X5, but not all of the Mavericks'.

Most every stage in every game has some sort of gimmick. And although Pandemonium is a Ride Armor stage, you're not forced to use it.

After stunning High Max with Blade Armor, activate Guard Shell on your head and Mach Dash up. You take off a huge chunk of his health .

You fools truly do not know what you're missing.

Sure I do, I've played it.

Moreover, I own Xtreme2 and have beaten it a few times already. Down+jump is fine and all for dashing, but you can't dash jump after that.

And when I played Xtreme1, which was a long time ago, I had no idea you could dash with down+jump.

I hear you. I was a never a fan of doubletapping, and Select is terribly positioned for that function.

Works pretty damn well on a Game Boy Player, though.

Wow, Frank looks amazing. But he sounds SOOO cheesy.

Give me a day or two, and it'll be priceless. But I can't forgive when he said "Dead Rising." That's just terrible.

Hmm. New stages, new moves, new bars, Tsubaki. Based on that and the fact Calamity Trigger is still pretty new, Continuum Shift seems more like a Champion Edition than a full fledged BlazTwo. If it is the latter, though, they missed the perfect marketing strategy.

It doesn't look like Tsubaki plays anything like I would've imagined. I was expecting her to be not too different from Noel.

FZeroGX is far beyond hard mode. It's just not fair. Alone, it took me days to beat Episode 7 on Very Hard.

In X6, you're not forced to take them, but you sure as hell need them in certain spots.

Like the Magnet Beam.

After you've played it enough, Player's stage isn't hard at all.

The year did go by pretty quick. But I've been playing the game for a good portion of it.

Happy Birthday MM9. *raises E Can*
