X / Re: What do you want to see in X9?
« on: November 14, 2009, 11:22:42 PM »
I'm with Cid. The slim X8 designs don't bother me too much. Though I would prefer X9 to have something more like MHX's character models.

There's no pointing in Brawl

And there never should be.

I'm probably the only guy in the world who isn't getting this game Day 1 by choice. True, I really want to play it. But I need to put something on my Christmas list. And shockingly enough, I can wait a month more.

I'm weird.

X5 had better Ride Chaser music!   8D

I dunno. All the Ride Chaser music kicks ass. I find it hard to pick one over the other.

He just wouldn't be playable in that case. I take it you haven't beaten Super Paper Mario?

Anime & Manga / Re: What Anime are you Currently Watching?

I want to start watching that.... But that might just be because of Girl Natsuru... Why must they make transformations of male characters so attractive? :P

Hey, Guy Natsuru isn't bad looking. So Girl Natsuru's attractiveness shouldn't be so surprising.

Attractive Male - [ray splasher] + Boobs = Attractive Female. It's first grade arithmetic.

I dunno. It sure seems like something is going to happen to Axl, like Lumine possessing him as a parasite or something.

I don't want closure or a bridge to a different series which capcom seems to have a hard on for.

Then explain why there's no direct link between Classic and X outside of the arcade games.

on the matter of Alia, her X8 design was nice, but I preferred her hair from the X6 flashback, where it was back, not over her shoulders.

I'll give you that. Then again, Alia looks good no matter what she does with her hair.

NO. RIDE. CHASERS.

[tornado fang] that. They just need to make them work better. While I'll defend X8's Ride Chasers to the grave, I do concede they were better in X2,4,and 5.

Killing Axl off isn't going to fix things, either. His gameplay's already been fixed, and whatever his character is like really shouldn't matter. Though seeing him as the proposed final boss would be interesting. Oh yeah, and that would retcon Command Mission.

Anyway, though I do like X8's shop system, I do want to see the return of Heart Tanks and Sub Tanks collectable in stage. If you give me that and that 2 player co-op function they've been "promising" since X7, I'll be quite content.

  • A Short haired Alia

Mmmmm, nah, I like her with her hair down.

Closure for Dr. Wily

[tornado fang] that. I think that should be left vague, if only to give the feeling that there will always be something to come. Closure sucks.

Wait, who was that again? I remember somebody either spamming the hell out of the colored text or was it abusing the Glow effect? Then we all complained because it hurt our eyes... Good Times...

I'm referring to PB back when he was a noob.

Oh to be young and fanboyish again.

I was planning on breaking some scouters even if that wasn't the point of the thread.

And Zero's gotta be pretty badass if he can kill while wearing a white thong.

Just because you didn't enjoy it, doesn't make it a terrible game.

It's terrible to him. Just leave it at that.

It's sort of a new story, cause it expands greatly on what used to be a blurb in the Japanese manual, and introduces new things like the Robot Masters' personalities.

I'd actually prefer an X9 before ZX3

I'm with you on that one, however.

Kinda forgot about Powered Up, actually. I feel ashamed, cause I don't think it's terrible by any means. And admittedly, while being a remake of MM1, it feels more original than, say, Maverick Hunter X.

The rerelease was. But it came out on the SFC in 98.

Vexan: A handful of voices in ZXA were pretty bad. I'd say Grey is one of the ones that most people lump into that category, especially once they learned he voiced the pussy X in X7. Model A might be the worst offender in my book, but I love to hate that thing. The list goes on, but your mileage may vary.

However, I too agree that having no voice acting at all is stupid. Having a subpar dub is better than having nothing at all. Though having a good dub, or just leaving the Japanese audio in, would be better. The latter won't happen again, but the former just depends on Capcom hiring a different studio. Why they didn't get Ocean to do it is beyond me. Lucas needs more work.

9 is like, what, 6 years after the last classic game?

Ten years.

I don't know anymore. Cause nowadays, it seems like Capcom is really pushing for games for the American market. Maybe that doesn't apply to handhelds? Or just not to Mega Man?

Quickie - “raises glass while finishing a piece of bread* “And here’s to bread, for despite its evil and sinister plot to try and fill us up before our more expensive meals arrive at the table, it sits there ready to sop up delicious olive oil for our pleasure and enjoyment, just like my Protoman Bread...errr Blues!”

This is sig worthy.

Gaming / Re: The "BlazBlue" Thread

GG is a high paced game, so when I'm playing it, my hands are fidgeting quite a bit. Not very comfortable when you have to concentrate on the screen inbetween you hands. Also, the buttons feel different compared to a PS2 controller, the lack of grips on a PSP gets in my way of comfortably holding it, you had no shortcuts by default, and the screen was shrunk to widescreen so half the characters obstructed a part of their life bar.

BlazBlue doesn't have to worry about the last complaint, as it's widescreen natively. And you'll still be able to use R as one of the shortcuts. The others still apply.

But that's just me. I'm awkward when playing any game on a portable.

I say if you don't have a PS360 but you do have a PSP, do yourself a favor and pick this up. But if you already have it on a console, there's no reason to buy this new version.

1473
Nah. I think letting the OP state his case first would be wise.
