2 retro games isn't exactly milking it. It does come close, though. If Mega Man 11 is 8 bit too, that would be definitely milking it. Also, I don't think they're using the NES style as a selling point. I think it's more of a case of Inti being lazy.

But in the end, how the game looks shouldn't matter. If it plays fine, it could look like Atari 2600 graphics for all I care. It's [tornado fang]ing Mega Man.

Next time you can look at NSFW pics, a quick Gelbooru search will probably have the answers you need.

I don't think the cover art is a joke at all. To be honest, I think it looks really cool.

But will Proto still take double damage and recoil? And what kind of drawbacks and advantages would the third character have, for that matter?

Should I make a seperate thread for speculations?

Wow, this usually happen when a MM gets confirmed?

No. I don't think Operate Shooting Star got even a fraction of the amount of excitement this is getting. Hell, I don't think the other recent, GOOD games got this much excitement except for MM9.

Mega Man's birthday is coming up next week. I was originally going to wait a few days until I put up this Iris picture in honor of that, but MM10 is making me celebrate early.

Wow. This came out of [tornado fang]ing nowhere. I wouldn't have expected this to come so soon. I kinda hope they don't make a habit of it, or we'll end up with another stagnation cycle.

Of all the animal themes that could be picked, they went with Sheep Man? Really? Someone over at Inti must be a Mareep fan, huh?

3rd character has to be Bass. Everyone's still too butthurt that he was reduced to a blueprint in 9.

And oh yeah. All those people who thought Mega Man X = Mega Man 10. Their whole world must've turned upside down face.

Anime & Manga / Re: What Anime are you Currently Watching?
« on: December 09, 2009, 09:05:27 PM »
Saw New Kimagure Orange Road. It's a nice movie. It's got a lot of heart. But it was a real blast from the past, too. I dunno, something about one of the characters using a beeper made me feel so much older.

After reading the recent Shelf Life on ANN, I'm curious about Popotan. No doubt it's shameless, but I want to see if it has merit.

I'm also watching The World of Narue. I'm a bit unsure about it, it feels kinda slow. But I'm sticking with it for now because Episode 2 is the dub's Crowning Moment of Funny. Was not expecting to hear Arnold in an anime dub.

Other things I'm watching:
-Revolutionary Girl Utena
-Super Gals
-You're Under Arrest
-Alice Academy
-He is My Master
-Clannad After Story
-Daphne in the Brilliant Blue
-Queen's Blade
-Kampfer

Wanted to bump this up because there will be stuff coming. One of my classes this semester is a stand up comedy course. And my final project in that course is performing in front of a live crowd at Gotham Comedy Club in Manhattan. If you'll in the area on the 12th, and want to see the show, I'll PM you the details. And for the rest of you, my performance will absolutely be on Youtube the next day.

So yeah, it's still a One Man Show for me. And I admittedly have been busy with schoolwork and all that. But that doesn't mean I'm not still looking for help. I still have that third Guilty Gear fandub to do, and I still need a lady's voice for it. If you'd like to help me, drop me a line.

It's funny you should say that.  Because if anything I've found camera adjustment in Mario 64, and even Galaxy (both of which I love, mind you), to be far more troublesome than either Sonic Adventure (although to be fair you don't really need to be looking around in Sonic nearly as often).  It feels like every other time I try to adjust the camera I get the buzzer telling me I'm not allowed to.  It gets very, very annoying at times.

Oh I totally agree. Moving the camera in 64 and Galaxy is a royal pain in the ass, and I avoid it as much as possible. Oddly, though, Sunshine's camera was pretty cooperative.

Yeah, but at the same time it's a real middle finger to see that it's not in the final product.

I played a good portion of Sonic 06 on my friend's PS3 a year ago. I didn't think it could get worse than the demo, but it kinda did. The game is still very slow and clunky. I'm not sure it it's because of that that the stages seem to take forever. And it's really glitchy, too. I mean, REALLY glitchy. I couldn't do [parasitic bomb] as Knuckles. Never has climbing up a wall been such a chore. And did we really have to play through 2 stages of Adventure 1 all over again?

My friend bought it not because he was expecting a fun game. He bought it purely for the lol factor, to make fun of the terrible plot and acting, to see just how bad it really was.

When it came time for me to adjust the camera in a 3D Sonic, it always felt very clunky and uncooperative. But then again, I usually don't have to worry about the camera in these games. It usually stays fixed behind me, where it belongs. And after beating the games once or twice (I'm mostly referring to the 2 Adventure games here), there was little need to rotate the camera for exploring outside of Treasure Hunting stages.

plus I dont see where it says when the story takes place.

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-12-07/code-geass/shikkoku-no-renya-manga-to-launch-in-2010

Quote
The story takes place in the same official Code Geass history as the anime, but in a different era. The title character, Renya, is a 17-year-old boy with a mechanical left arm and shuriken throwing stars as his weapons of choice. The story begins when Renya encounters a mysterious, perpetually young witch named "Reifū C.C." C.C. has appeared in Japan's historical Edo era to seek a new partner for a covenant. Meanwhile, a mysterious man, with a striking resemblance to the character Lelouch of the original anime, also appears with unknown intentions.

So CG is going to the Edo period? I'm sensing a jump-the-shark moment, even if R2 wasn't one enough for you.

I think Sonic Adventures goodness comes from the fact it was the first 3D sonic(Sonic R Doesn't count) and pretty much followed Sonic 3 & Knuckles's formula of selecting a character and playing the game.

What? That's nothing like S3K. In S3K, all 3 characters (4 if you count Sonic seperate and Sonic+Tails as 2 different characters) play the same with only a few differences, and 2 of them play the exact same stages. In SA1, some characters don't play in certain stages at all, others get very limited versions of the stages, and with the exception of Sonic and Tails their gameplay styles are radically different.

Oh, and you must think MMX7 was the best X game because it was first 3D game, don't you?

My sister made me watch G.I.Joe with her. I quit after 90 minutes. It was just a dumb CGI showcase. What makes it worse is that the CGI was so phoneybaloney. I haven't seen effects so fake since Power Rangers The Movie. Was the whole movie greenscreened or something? Nothing except the people looked real. The plot wasn't too great either; it had bad pacing. Or should I say what little plot there was. It's like they rushed the plot and character development just to get to the fight scenes. The exceptions are the Storm Shadow/Snake Eyes flashbacks, which are both character development and fight scenes.

There were one or two good one liners, though.
