10's weapons are a lot harder to use, especially when you're fighting the RMs. Also, you don't have much ammo to work with. But the W-Tanks more than make up for this.

Very true. With them, ammo count doesn't make much of a difference. Unless you're playing on Time Attack or Hard or something.

It's probably that the fans like them more than Elec. But if it's any consolation, Elec is in 10.

If you do MM10's Mr. Perfect challenge on easy, you're doing it wrong.

And Lord, do I not want to be right.

All in all, I definitely prefer 9's weapons if only cause they're broken. But 10 has other issues, too. 9's weapons were good at anytime, but 10's are for the most part situational and at times gimmicky (looking at you, Thunder Wool). 10 is also stingier on the ammo. Rebound Striker would be so much better if you had a bit more ammo for it.

However, I think Triple Blade is better than any of 9's weapons. Mama loves a spreadshot.

Cause you're stereotyping. I think parents like that are of a rarer breed. Slightly.

Nobody has three meals of fast food a day.

Except the kids whose parents complain "McDonalds made my kids fat." No, YOU made them fat by feeding them nothing but McDonalds! Cook something for them, you lazy dope!

Yes because an unfinished hack is indicative of an official product.

I'm only referring to the fact that Megamix gives you the option to turn off Super Sonic music. Wish they'd do the same for invincibility and speed shoes.

It's funny how you notice the amount of appearances Guts Man has, yet you overlook that Cut Man has showed up just as many times.

The fact that a few of you are affected by Super Size Me's propaganda pisses me off.

Also, I've seen no mention of White Castle in here, which is a DAMN shame.  Sliders are the epitome of a journey through Heaven & Hell.

My friend despises fast food and anything that's not healthy, and yet he even makes the exception for White Castle.

Stage music replaced with 15-20 second looping jingle.

This is why I don't care for Super Sonic anymore.

Play more Megamix.

I practically live off the stuff when no ones home to cook. But I can afford to. My metabolism is ridiculous.

For everyone else, the stuff should be an option because there will be times when there's nothing to eat in the house and you just want something quick and dirty.

Makes you wonder why the hell they removed the options menus.

They must not want us to be able to cheat.

Well, at least it doesn't sound to be as much of a disaster as Sonic Genesis.

Oh nowhere NEAR as bad. I can't even call Sonic Genesis playable, it's so broken.

My friend picked this up yesterday, so we all got to try out some of it. I played up till Carnival Night in S3K. And I noticed quite a bit of inconsistencies.
  • For some stupid reason, the game select calls S3K "Knuckles in Sonic the Hedgehog 3."
  • There are no multiplayer modes or options menus.
  • Sound effects sometimes don't come out right. Like if you release a spin dash as soon as you start it, you won't hear the "pshoo" sound, just the revving sound.
  • There is more lag in places. And the game in general does run slower than normal. Probably due to a reduced framerate.
  • The background in the magnetic spheres bonus stage is [tornado fang]'d up.
  • There's a lot of flickering in the special stages. The ground jitters so much at times, it's nauseating.
  • During a boss fight, you can slowly scroll more of the screen thanks to the cropping done.
  • Upon completing an act, the screen will move a bit closer to the center, so your character might get cut off during the score tally.

All in all, though, it's still playable. If you really really want to play the Genesis Sonics on the go and haven't already put emulators on your portable devices, you'll be just fine with this.

The leaderboard takes forever to connect. I have the #5 spot for Commando Man, but I can't check it yet. You have to wait a couple minutes before you can view rankings again. 9 had this problem too, but the wait wasn't as long.

Thankfully, there's a workaround. Reset and you'll be able to get to the rankings with no problems.

You have to do that if you're playing a GBA Mega Man on a DS.

(only to swap fire and jump; WHY anyone would want to do that is beyond me).

That's more for us who use Classic Controller and are too used to jumping with the bottom face button and shooting with the left button.

Some sprites seemed to flicker away at points. And there seemed to be some extra lag, like when he got hit by the ball'n'chain.

I am not ready to call 10 better than 9 just yet. It's way too soon to make a decision like that. It's still the honeymoon period where we're still in the experience of a new game.

This thing is hard; well, harder than 9, anyway.

Disagreed strongly. This game was WAY easier. Even though 9 is an easy game once you know where the traps are, 10 doesn't have such traps, so you're more to blame when you die. The bosses are easier too for the most part.

I don't like playing MM9 or 10 with the Wiimote. I slip off the tiny D pad too easily. I would greatly have preferred if 9 and 10 let you use Gamecube controllers so I could use my HORI pad. But Classic's just fine.

Nice job.

There's potentially more data needed for Rebound Striker, isn't there? Doesn't it get stronger as it bounces off walls?

Wow, this stuff looks awesome. MM10 already has a plus over 9 for me; I'm actually excited for the DLC this time.
